Great product! All K&H cat houses should use this heating pad!

This is a great product. Though my cat would not go in it, when he was attacked by a raccoon, nearly killed, after a visit to vet, now lives in laundry room. I took heating pad out of this house & when my injured cat discovered it, he has rarely left it, sleeping very, very soundly at last. Please, Chewy This is a great product. Please, Chewy, tell K&H that all their small animal heating pads should be so constructed. I have others, but they are so hard, I have to put blanket on top before animal will use. … more

    Unfortunately didn’t do the job

I bought this for a homeless cat that lives in my apartment complex who has been sleeping on my lawn chairs in the freezing cold. She won’t even touch this. She still is sitting outside in the cold with a beautiful, expensive cat house right next to her that she won’t touch. I guess I’m going to have to try and build her one of those plastic tub houses and see if that works. … more

    Well constructed, product as advertised

    By on

Fundamentally a great product, well constructed. Padding in bottom is nice and thick. My cat is leary of it at this point, but I put treats in it everyday and he will go inside to get them. Just doesn't settle in to make his bed. Fingers crossed that when it's cold and he wants to be warm he'll learn it's safe.

    Perfect for outdoor kitties

Have a beautiful feral that we have been tending for 7 months....shows no sign of coming in (sad face) but concerned about his welfare with winter coming. This heated A-Frame is perfect !

    OK, not great

    By on

Easy to assemble, great idea, heat worked OK, but not enough to keep kitty warm outside in 20 degree weather. I added a latex-backed rug for additional insulation, kitty wasn't a fan. I'll use indoors or donate.

    Cozy and Dry

    By on

Purchased this for my senior feral, who is now quite frail and thin. She's been snuggling up inside as the heated mat is soft and comfortable for her delicate bones. I don't recommend it as a winter shelter because it's not insulated, but it's perfect for cool, autumn nights.

    2 babies loving it!

    By on

I bought this for our 2 new kittens. They are currently living on our front porch but will eventually be outdoor cats for mice hunting on our little homestead. They immediately snuggled in when I presented this to them. I'm hoping to use it in our garage for the MI winters. It would be nice to have different heat settings as well as peace of mind with automatic shut off; but worth it for now!

    Love this shelter!

    By on

The first day I put it out (on my covered front porch), my feral cat took to it immediately. When I came out to feed her in the early morning, she was coming out of it already stretching her back legs. I wish I could have gotten a photo. I did choose to cover mine with a neatly folded contractor bag all the way around the shelter, duct taping the covering on the bottom of the shelter where it couldn’t be seen, to further protect from blowing rain in storms. I left the back flap on only, left the front one off, knowing she’d never want to push her way through that and feel trapped. I added some vinyl lattice to my porch railings to sort of close it in like a little home for her. Loving it so far, not to mention it is adorable. Love Chewy! … more

    Warm shelter for outside

    By on

I have an outdoor kitty that adopted me. I wanted her to be sheltered and warm through the Colorado winters.

For those whose cats won’t enter.....

    By on

Remove the door flaps and plug in. Place treats and/or tasty food inside. Give them a few days to investigate and step in and out. We have several for ferals—-even a possum uses one!

    Very popular with my ferals.

Great help for the frigid winter weather. I have 4 ferals and they like this so much I bought several so all of them can get warm during harsh temps.
