Great product! All K&H cat houses should use this heating pad!

This is a great product. Though my cat would not go in it, when he was attacked by a raccoon, nearly killed, after a visit to vet, now lives in laundry room. Please, Chewy, tell K&H that all their small animal heating pads should be so constructed. I have others, but they are so hard, I have to put blanket on top before animal will use. … more

    Unfortunately didn’t do the job

Feral cat loves her A-Frame (Positioned on a table)

    By on

When we first received the A-frame, our feral cat wouldn’t get in it. After we placed the A-frame on a small table, she immediately tried it out and spends a LOT of time in it! We use a bungee cord to secure the A-frame to the small table. This is her 2nd winter and it keeps her warm & cozy! We leave one end open so she doesn’t feel trapped and it’s still plenty warm. Great product & value for the money!

    Great for outdoor kitties

Skittles loves her new heated house. I sprinkled some catnip by the entrance and she figured it out on her own after that. She looks very happy/& warm when inside the house.

    Feral cats love them.

    By on

I bought 2 of the heated houses 2 winters ago. This is the 3rd winter/cold weather I have put them out for my cats. I say my cats but they are feral but know me well. They love these houses. I need to get 2 more to accomadate the cats. They often peek in to see if one is occupied ,if its available one jumps in and stays quite awhile. They do keep them warm and I keep them plugged in always. I have not had any problems with the cat houses. I recommend this for any cats outside. Keeps them warmer in the cold weather.

    Great little house

    By on

We have a kitty that has taken up residence on our back deck. She LOVES this little house and sleeps in it nightly (and most of the day too)! The removable flaps are nice- removed one side since kitty seemed a little spooked about pushing through it. The only downside was that I have to keep it on my screened in porch with the door open because I didn’t realize when I bought it that even though it is safe for outdoor use, it has to be in a sheltered location. So leaving it out on my open deck wasn’t an option (which I was initially hoping for. If it weren’t for that, I’d give it 5 stars.

My Cats Will Not Go In

    By on

I had high hopes for this house as an alternative for my cats in winter. I purchased because of being weatherproof and heated and planned on using on a protected porch. Prior to purchase, several reviews stated that the cats would not go in the house. I thought the houses were worth a try. My cats simply will not have anything to do with the houses. One of my cats loves paper grocery bags, so I thought she would love it. No, she didn't like it a bit. My bottom line is that I believe the company didn't conduct research with different shapes. Rather, they focused on a shape that humans would find attractive. I think the material and heat is an excellent idea but the manufacturer should find I had high hopes for this house as an alternative for my cats in winter. Another great K&H product

    By on

Perfect for one. My hairless cat loves this. I love that it simple, cute, and warm. I trust K&H heated beds. This also has an escape door with a simple little see through plastic flap so they cannot get trapped or feel trapped. Great feature.

Not what I thought it was

    By on

I have 4 other K and H outdoor heated houses (2 A-frames and 2 houses) and also own their outdoor heated food/water bowls. They are all excellent products. I ordered this thinking it was the same as the two A-frames I already own. This one, however, is significantly smaller. I didn't even know they came in different dimensions. If it wasn't absolutely freezing out I would have returned right away. My cats wouldn't touch it for weeks. Finally one cat resigns themselves to this tiny house on occasion so thank goodness it's getting used. Def read the fine print on sizing.
