- Place the Igloo Style Heated Pad directly on a hard, flat surface in your home or inside a doghouse or kennel. The area chosen should be sheltered from direct rain or snow.
- Plug into 110 - 120 volt AC outlet. Allow 1 - 2 hours for the heated pad to warm. The unit will feel slightly warm to the touch. When an animal lies on the pad, it will reach a maximum temperature of approximately 102° F. The built-in thermostat will automatically regulate the temperature.
- After initial warm-up, your Igloo Style Heated Pad will feel cooler to the touch. This is the intention for energy efficiency. When your pet lies on the bed, it will warm to a comfortable temperature in even the coldest of weather.
- To clean, wash the faux fleece cover on the gentle cycle with cold water, then line dry. The heated pad can be cleaned using a damp towel or sponge and mild dish washing detergent. Do not wash in a washing machine.
Size | Length | Width | Wattage |

Does the Igloo Style Heated Pad use a lot of energy when plugged in? I'm worried about high electricity costs.
Depending on size, the pad only uses only 40, 60, or 80 watts. It's an energy efficient product that consumes very little electricity.
Will this heat my dogs house if I place it under the dog house where he can't chew it up? The house is one of the Igloo style hard plastic.
Our heating pads should not be placed under a dog kennel. They should rest on the floor of the kennel on a flat, stable surface. You never want to place anything on top of a K&H outdoor bed or pad other than the cover provided. This cover allows the warmth to go through whereas a blanket or any other cover will trap the heat inside the bed or pad, possibly causing a malfunction.
1-Year Limited Warranty.

disappointed
By Grismum on Mar 27, 2021
The pad is well made/very sturdy but I was expecting something more akin to a soft heating pad. The base is rock hard, the pad thin and not conducive to old kitty bodies. The heat given off is very minimal. There is no off/on switch, the cord is not very long.

Good purchase
By Rileyroolu2 on Feb 5, 2021
I was looking for a smaller heating unit for a barn cat that continues to park on our porch. We needed a small heater board with protection from the elements for the days she wants to be looking in our house windows. Turned a cooler on its side, took the cooler lid off, placed the heater inside and covered the cooler with a heavy wind proof blanket. She now has a protected space both on our deck and in the barn. Everyone is happy. The "plus" is she can move off of heater surface because it does not fill the entire cooler space. Only wish it would be "okay" to make it a softer surface for her...

Feral cats need love too.
By DEBE on Feb 8, 2021
I bought this for two feral cats that I take care of. It's perfect for under my back porch where they sleep. I feel better knowing they have a warm bed on cold nights.

Not clear advertising
By Momma on Dec 5, 2020
I needed the igloo and the heated pad I did not realize that the heating pad in the igloo were sold separately it is in the last line of the description the picture shows the igloo, in the ad says igloo style heated pad and cover it just sounds like it was a complete set . I’m leaving town I don’t have time to get an igloo now that should’ve been more clear in the description.

Something isn’t right
By MissLiz on Sep 24, 2020
At first the heat pad worked fine, on the first try....but later in the evening, it was cold. I unplugged it and plugged it back in, nothing. Tried the following day, nothing. I think I have a faulty heater pad. Please note: the heater pad does not come with a dog house. This heater is meant for the dog house shown in picture.

Not very warm
By Goose on Oct 12, 2020
The mats take about 20 minutes to warmup, and the warmth isn't very noticeable.
