- Suitable for use in the home, garage, porch, kennel or pet house.
- Place the Lectro-Soft directly on a hard, flat surface in your home or inside a doghouse or kennel. The area chosen should be sheltered from direct rain or snow.
- Pull out the air valve on the bottom side of the bed. Plug into 110 - 120 volt AC outlet while the air valve is still released. Allow 15 to 30 minutes for the Lectro-Soft™ to begin to warm and fully expand. The unit will feel slightly warm to the touch.
- After desired expansion, push down on the center of the bed to remove a little air. Then push in the air plug to seal the bed. This will prevent a ballooning effect when your pet is enjoying the bed.
- After initial warm-up, your Lectro-Soft will feel cooler to the touch. This is the intention for energy efficiency. When your pet lies on the bed, it will warm to a comfortable temperature in even the coldest of weather.
- The Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Bed does not inflate, as many people believe. After opening the air valve, you will not notice a big difference in size, but the bed will expand slightly. All the air is removed from a Lectro-Soft bed when vacuum packaging it for shipment. Opening the air valve allows air back into the bed, which helps the inner foam gradually expand to its original size. This process can take up to 24 hours, depending on how long the bed has been vacuum packed.
- Wash the faux fleece cover on the gentle cycle with cold water, then line dry. The bed can be cleaned using a damp towel or sponge and mild dish washing detergent. Do not wash in a washing machine.

Can I bend or fold the Lectro-Soft to make it fit my pet's house?
The Lectro-Soft should not be bent or folded. We only recommend placing it on a flat, stable surface.
Does the Lectro-Soft use a lot of energy when plugged in? I'm worried about high electricity costs.
Depending on size, the Lectro-Soft only uses only 20, 40, or 60 watts. It's an energy efficient product that consumes very little electricity.
What material is the Lectro-Soft Cover made of?
The top is a soft faux fleece while the bottom is made of an open weave fabric that allows the heat to pass through.

Cats live on this bed! I’ve bought several!
By 5MidwestCats on Dec 18, 2020
At first I bought for my outdoor feral cat but when I was trying it out inside my kitties jumped on it immediately! I had to buy another one for the outdoor kitty. I love that it saves energy when the cats aren’t on it but quickly heats up once they lay atop it. I still have my first one for 5 years now and it is still used daily. My cats jockeyed for position on the line pad I had so I purchased a couple more and put them in their favorite napping spots throughout the house. A huge hit! The outdoor heater works every winter and I can sleep safe knowing my outdoor kitty is protected from the cold. It is more than worth the investment. Cats are in Heaven!
By MWSanchez on Jan 11, 2021
Holy cow these things are a hit with my cats! It didn't take them but about a day to figure out that they were the warm spot to lay on. My cats are seniors, (15 years old), and they both love to lounge on these all day long. I have them situated on our couch in between myself and my wife, and I have two pads side by side, so they effectively have the entire center section of the couch. They love them and I can't speak highly enough about the pleasure my cats are getting from these pads. Kudos!

Love it, so does feral kitty, SIMBA
By Marge on Jan 8, 2021
The heating pad is made with quality materials. It is easy to remove, wash and dry, and replace. The cord is surrounded by strong but flexible metal coil and is long. I was not sure it was working at first, then I read the instructions and information. The pad heats when the cat lies on it, when it senses the pressure. So, it makes it easy for me just to leave it outside plugged in. It is on the ground under the eaves (in the weather). So after it rains, I just bring the whole pad inside, wash/dry the cover, wipe the plastic pad clean, and set back out. Simba and I are extremely happy with this product.

Cats love it
By Gina on Jan 9, 2021
I have 2 senior feral cats living in my backyard. They are very stiff when they first get moving and don't jump the fences anymore. I had made a bed for them in a wooden crate lying on its side with fleece blankets up by the house on a covered patio some years ago which they use. I thought they might really like this heating pad. I made another bed for them just like the first and put in the heated pad. They sleep on it every night since the temperature dropped into the 40s so clearly it is working for them!

Two Cats Two Approvals
By Erik on Dec 13, 2020
HUGE recommend. Ordered two of these for my cats because I live in a relatively poorly insulated apartment in the Pacific Northwest. It gets pretty chilly at night so I figured I'd look for some heated beds. Having had these beds for a little over a week I'm happy to report that both of my picky cats love them! They don't get too hot (and they're not supposed to), the cover stays on easily and it's great that I'm going to be able to wash them, and the small size seems perfect for cats. Day and night it's like they're magnetically drawn to them. I'm so happy with these, in fact, that I ordered two more for my parents cat and my sisters cat. Two thumbs up!

Love Chewy
By Catmum on Jan 12, 2021
I ordered the wrong item the first go round. Chewy helped me get the correct item. My feral cats love this pad. They will not go "inside" any kind of opening so I put this in an open front box we made to fit. After two years of trying different things...they are warm and come back to the porch every night.

Outside heating pad for your pet? Think again.
By Peanut on Jan 7, 2021
This is supposed to be an outdoor heating pad so that your pet can be outside even in cold weather. It needs an electric outlet, which are pretty hard to come by in the great outdoors. The instructions say to cover up the heating pad, let it sit for half an hour or so, and then uncover it to feel the warmth. I can tell you, there is no warmth, and if this is what is supposed to keep my dog from freezing, I love my dog too much to leave her outside in cold weather with this pad.

My cat is a big fan
By danielle on Dec 31, 2020
Heats up fast, comfy fabric, cord is perfect and protected against animals that like to chew on everything. As for my cat, it took a few weeks for him to grow a liking to this heating pad. I only adopted him a few months ago so he’s still adapting to his new environment. Now this is his new favorite spot! He loves to cuddle and sleep for hours on it! He’s a big man so the medium size worked out for extra long stretches but the small could have been fine as well.

Great for my little old man
By anne on Dec 15, 2020
We were concerned that my two aging cats might be getting arthritic, so we got this (and some of those mats that aren't electric, just retain body heat& they like them too).... And my little ginger old man LOVES IT. He didn't find it right away, but now that the Christmas tree is up and the pad is in his favorite place under the tree, he pretty much lives there now. It must be very snuggly& happy. I was a little concerned about heat since we've been leaving it on pretty much full time. According to my kitchen thermometer, underneath the mat (where there is no fluffy covering and it was noticeably warmer) was 99°f. Side note, I was impressed with the wire wrapping around the electrical cord. I've never had dogs or chewers, so that wasn't on my radar, but it felt pretty secure& sturdy. … more

It's the perfect size and temperature
By Shannon on Dec 7, 2020
My 9mo/8lb kitten loves this pad! I placed it on her window perch where she naps throughout the day and it fits perfectly. It gets very cold in the winter here so I wanted her to be comfortable. Now she doesn't want to get up! Even at night, she's passed out in the window content as could be. I followed the directions about releasing the air so it could take shape, there was no off-gassing, and it looked well-made. I have zero complaints.
