How thick is this pad, and what is the actual pad (not the cover) made of?

The pad is 1/2 an inch thick and is made of memory foam.
What size would you recommend for a 36 inch crate?

The x-small pad measures about 14 x 22 inches, the small pad measures about 20 x 25 inches, the medium pad measures about 21 x 31 inches, and the large pad measures about 25 x 37 inches. We recommend comparing the full dimensions of the crate with that of the pad to ensure the best fit.
Is this pad waterproof?

This pad is not currently waterproof but is machine washable for easy cleanup.
Are the dimensions reported from the outside edges of the mat or from what would be the floor of the mat which would not include the split side parts of the mat? The exterior dimensions of my crate is 35 x 22; would this fit ? Or would the large size be a better fit ?

This mat is measured from the ends of the product. The Medium mat will fit a crate measuring 35 x 22 inches.

New Foam Dog Crate pad

The quality is very good, the design idea good.....but it was just not big enough for our needs....we palced it on the bottom of the crate and bought another version that was larger.

Good for Summer

This pad is thinner than expected, but my dog loves it. He seems like he is able to enjoy it on warmer days than his other more cuddly/plush bed. Would recommend this product, especially if you're dog gets hot or you live in warm climates.

You get what you (don't) pay for...

I needed a new crate pad for my dog and even though this was cheap, it said memory foam, so I went with it. This thing is like a floor mat in a car, which is probably how I will use it, to keep dog hair off my carpet. Definitely not a comfortable pad for a dog crate. I should have sprung for something obviously padded.

Comfy crate pad

I wanted something to make the crate a little more comfortable even though it has a pad underneath it because the dog sleeps in the crate this fit perfect but unfortunately she scratches it and punches it up in the corner. it is thick and soft but it’s not weighted So I will only use it for travel

Perfect Pad

My Shih Tzu likes to sleep under my bed, so I wanted to make it a little more comfortable for her. However, there’s not enough room for a dog bed to fit underneath my bed. I found this, and it works perfectly! I ordered a large, so she would have plenty of cushioned space. It seems to offer a good amount of cushion, and the top is so soft! My little girl loves it!

Maizie’s Bed

Maizie loves her new kennel mat for her crate. She has arthritis and sometimes has to stay in her kennel. Now that the floor is nice and cooshie she doesn’t mind so much!

K&H Crate Pad

Not worth the price. The pad is very thin and I don’t see how a memory foam helps at all. I wouldn’t rely on any comfort for my furry friend. IMO it was a waste of money!

Nicely fitted

This is a nice pad to put under a bed. It is not ideal if you are using it as a bed, its think. Overall good quality and it likes the it folds up to cover the bottom lip of the crate. It is the exact dimensions given in the information. Overall good choice.
