    Our dog has shunned dog beds for the past several years - until now. He had started climbimg on the couch at night, so I knew it was time to try again. After reading, shopping around and mattress squeezing, I ordered this bed. The dog actually smiled when we unwrapped it and jumped on immediately. The bed is good looking and the foam seems to be just the right density, firm enough and thick enough to be truly supportive but still cushy for tired limbs.     He slides off!

    The biggest problem I found was that my dog slides off of it when he sleeps. He is a 50 lbs, Australian mix. I bought the large so there is space to stretch out. However, if he gets a couple of inches close to the edge, he slides off it, often his head. He has arthritis in his hip, once he slides off it, it's hard for him to get back up. It is slippery, I think due to the soft fabric on the top. If your dog stretches out, and he/she is 50lbs+, I would suggest that you get a bolster style one instead. I am happy with the memory foam density and the cover is removable, great for washing it. The top cover is very soft and fluffy but it's now starting to go flat and pill. … more
