My dog and cats loved sleeping on this bed. It held up great for many years in spite of the cats gnawing on the corners. K&H sells a cot pad for this bed but I made my own with a couple elastic straps sewn to an old thin kennel bed, and I put a fuzzy rug on top of that for the winter. The other small modification I made was to duct tape some foam pipe insulation to the legs. (Trust me, you won't want to stub your toe on them twice!) My dog would sleep with her head on the bolster like a pillow or curled up in the middle and all the cats would curl up with her and end up sandwiched on top of each other in a pile. The cats loved playing underneath it, too, and I loved that my robot vacuum could go underneath it to get the floor clean. I never had a reason to wash it until after my dog passed and it was easy to take the frame apart and run the bolster and cover through the wash. I wish they would put the bolster stuffing in another layer of material so I could just wash the fabric cover, though. I had to put the whole bolster through the wash and it took a while to dry. It's nice to have a bed that breaks apart easily for storage until I need it again now, too. The only drawback is that as my dog's cancer progressed, she'd have to be careful getting in and out of the bed. I put a rug underneath it so she'd have traction after she slipped on the hard floor once. Not the best bed if your dog has mobility issues, but great otherwise!
I have tried many dog beds for my fur-baby trying to find one he would like. He slept in the foot of my bed or at a live seat across from my bed for years… but once he got too old to jump up & down I had to find something safer & more comfortable for him. Every dog bed that sit on the floor he refused. Then I found this bed. I put one of his favorite blankets on it and he absolutely loves it!! I now do not have to worry about him hurting himself jumping up or down from the couch or beds. I think he likes that it sits about 7” off the floor and it has bolsters around the back and side where he can lay his head. He is able to easily hop in or out. It’s light and easy to move around if needed.
I purchased this to have an outdoor bed for my 60lb pup on our deck. I've had to throw other beds away as they end up getting mildewy etc. It was easy to put the bed together and we've been very happy with it. Over the past couple of months it has been able to withstand the outdoor elements (sun/wind/rain). My pup loves it...as it allows good air flow and provides pillows on a few sides.
I recently moved and the movers lost one of the legs on my dog sons favorite bed. Chewy went above and beyond to help me out. Their customer service is quick to respond and they are a top notch company. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone. Superior quality and the dogs love it. It’s also perfect when they go to the kennel because it is off the ground and they can share a bed.
It is very easy to put together and take down, no tools required, we got XLG. I like the ease of it and the looks, seems everything is washable or spray with hose. If it's stationary it will work better, if you want one that moves or to take for getaways, this one is good because of the easy set up, but when you pick it up to move it, make sure it is stable when you put it down. Good quality, easy set up, and cleanable.
My dogs love to lay on them but our lab has destroyed 2 of them. I bought 2 for home and 2 for the cabin. First it was the bolsters that got shredded, then the cover on one and the entire frame on the second. She has plenty of chew toys and gets lots of playtime but I guess just decided the dog bed was a toy too.
I've had the standard K&H cots for my big pups for years. As they've aged, I like having the bolsters to keep them comfy. We have 5 of these cots at different places outside in the shade and on the porch so the pups can rest wherever they want. They are crazy durable and easy to set up and keep clean.
My senior dog is loving his elevated bed so far this summer. Before I bought this for him he was going back and forth between the wood floor and his soft bed every 20 minutes. Since purchase, he primarily stays in the bed now. Thanks for helping me to take care of my little old guy.
This is a great product that makes it so much easier to keep the dog space clean compared to ordinary dog beds. No need to move it when sweeping or vacuuming dust and pet hair since it is raised off the floor. My dogs are perfectly comfortable on them too!
This raised platform is a quick favorite. We bough XL for our dog who is 38lbs, but we wanted space her to stretch.
