  • PERFECT for kitty's who get the "LIONS CUT/GROOMING"

    By on

Anyone who has a Persian/ Himmy or even any long haired cat probably understands what a "Lions Cut" is. We understands its necessary to keep them de-matted or free of puking up lots of unwanted hairballs . Well I bought this item for my fur-bundle. He is a 12 year old Persian who needs to get groomed at least twice a year with his "Lions Cut". Unfortunately this year I had to groom him right before we had a deep freeze up here in the NYC are. Anyway I could tell he was chilly with no hair. He would find his way under my blankets on my bed and even curl up next to me for extra body heat, or sit by the heating vent waiting for the heat to blow out. I also always knew he loved boxes as he must Anyone who has a Persian/ Himmy or even any long haired cat probably understands what a "Lions Cut" is. He LOVES this house!! The ONLY downside to it- is that he now doesn't curl up with me on my bed as much!! This item is GREAT for cats whom get chilly once they get groomed!! ALSO I ordered my item and the very next day had it!! YOU all now have a very happy forever customer!! … more

  • Our Cat Loves It

    By on

We have an indoor/outdoor cat (about 95% outdoor) who sleeps/eats in our garage. It can get pretty cold here, and while the garage is usually about 20 degrees warmer than the outdoor temperature, when the temperature is in the single digits, it's still very cold in the garage. Enter this house. Our cat was a bit hesitant at first, but after putting treats in it for a few days, he now spends a ton of time in it sleeping. Like I said, it's in our garage, so I can't speak to how weatherproof it is, but it definitely keeps him warm, and he loves it. It doesn't get very hot -- almost imperceptibly warm -- but it seems perfect for him. • The best for those who just want to stay outside

    By on

It took a while for my kitty to decide it was not a "trap", but now he loves it! It has a clear removable flap on both sides - removed the front, left the back (for warmth). It is great for the cat and makes me happy that he loves and uses it a lot! It is sturdy and maybe that being good is also what makes it a bit of a to do to open it up for cleaning - lots of velcro and zippers so once assembled, I am not inclined to un do it. You really do have to at least partially un-assemble to get the pad out for cleaning - not easy to reach in and remove. I decided to just add some blankets on top of the pad and make the bed as best as possible working through the opening. • Survived Negative Temperatures

    By on

I take care of a stray colony in Easter PA. This winter we have has several below freezing days. Prior to this shelter I only had the good old rubbermaid and straw. Once I put these out it only took a few hours before I caught the kittens hanging out inside. Now every morning I go out and at least one if not more is sound asleep in the heated shelter without a care for the outside temps. It also hasn't had any significant change on my electric bill.

  • Using for a feral cat outside

    By on

We put this little house outside for a stray/feral kitty as the temperatures and snow has been so bad in New England this year. I can't say for certain that the cat is sleeping in it daily/nightly, however, I know for sure that it's eating in it and it gives me peace of mind knowing it's there. I do know that the cat was in it one day, but it left when I frightened it walking towards it. We put it on a pallet and Styrofoam base, then surrounded it with firewood logs to add extra insulation from these subzero temps. It does seem to help to take off at least one door so that it's not too afraid to enter. I would recommend also because it's so well made and easy to put together.

  • Awesome Purchase decision

    By on

My wife and I bought this house for a stray that we had "adopted". We were concerned about his welfare as the winter set in. When we first got it, the temps were still above 30 and we could not get him to go in it, except for eating his food. However, the first time the temperature got into the mid 20's, there he was, inside his house. Now that the frigid cold has set in, he is always inside the house. We have it on a covered front porch and have elevated it as our neighbor suggested that some cats fear being attacked in a ground level shelter. I will admit that I was VERY skeptical about this house, especially given what I feel is a very low price. • Great quality, easy to assemble

    By on

The house was extremely easy to assemble, and the material is good quality and of sturdy construction. The item arrived in 2 days as promised. However, the heating pad doesn’t have an air valve as indicated in the instructions. It just seems to be a regular heating pad. Step 2 from the instructions: “Pull out the air valve on the bottom side of the bed... plug in and allow 15-30 mins for the heated bed to warm and fully expand.” Did I receive the wrong heating pad?

  • heated kitty house

    By on

Nice little house for outdoor kitties to get out of extreme cold. Looks bigger than it actually is, but ok for 1 large cat (10 pounds). Might be a little crowded if more than 1 cat gets in at once. Can just barely feel the heat in the bottom pad, but not hot enough to harm the cat. I put this outside for a feral cat which would not get in it, but my tame cat was happy to use it. Easy to assemble. Have not had it outside in snow or rain, so can't comment on how water resistant it is.

  • A Warm Home for the Cold Winter

    By on

I bought this heated house to put on my porch as I "had" a feral cat living under my concrete porch. I say "had" because thanks to this nice house, the little cat is living warm and comfortable! She has come up from under the concrete and sleeps day and night in this house! Perfect size, easy to assemble, warm and waterproof! I would recommend this product for any cat! Thank you Chewy for your great products and service!

  • Warm kitty home

    By on

Nice material, purchased for a local kinda stray cat for the cold weather. Wanted to be sure he could be kept warm and dry due to the severe cold. He loves the warm pad and I like that it has 2 doors to get in and out. We have it in our garage currently so when he visits he can get used to it. We can plug it in outside now near the house so if he cant get back in the neighbors garage he has somewhere safe to go. Well worth the cost
