I would not call this item "self warming." The image shows a layer of foil, similar to that of an emergency blanket, which isnmeant to reflect heat. However, when the package arrived, it states clearly on the packing that the item is just filled with poly-fill. There is no reflective, insulating layer, like shown in the picture. Second, if there is padding inside, you couldn't tell. It provides no comfort, just as it provides no extra warmth. One would be better off tossing a fuzzy blanket into a pet's bed for extra warmth, than using this "self-warming" crate mat.
This pen was easy to set up and it has plenty of room for our dog Ginger. She is tiny and goes there independently to eat and drink. We are happy we purchased this item as it comes in handy when we go out. We had an issue with the delivery aspect but that was not Chewy's fault.
Great self-warming mat. My dog loves it. I have one in her crate for nighttime and another in the living room for the daytime. Excellent product.
This was exactly what I was looking for! Very soft, lightweight pad and the self warming material isn't too loud when it crinkles. Seems well made, will be ordering more!
Best prices anywhere on these self-warming pads that I put in houses outside for my feral cats.
Neonatal kittens need warmth and this helps lots. Traveling and changing beds this helps them maintain their temp
It is not bad for the discounted price I got it for but thinner than anticipated
It seems to be a good product for my outside stray cat. He seems very happy.
This is flimsy, balls up like a piece of tin foil,
This particular size would be for the Xs cage and I put it in the bigger cage and the pup still lays on the plastic .. could just be my dog and the plastic keeps her cooler but she moves it around and lays her head on it My fault for not measuring crate. Only concern is if they chew or tear it the beads would go all over the place and unsure if digested that it would be safe.
