Very Nice
I have remove the heating pad for the summer. Heating pad is only 4 watts (perfect) but is not pressure sensitive to cat laying on it. I finally got her to use this bed. A total win.
Perfect for Old Ladies!!
As cats do, we usually have to have a bed in our house for a year or two before they will touch it (cardboard boxes excluded). It only took them a few days to give this one a try! Our old lady loves hogging the space in front if the heater, laps, electric blankets- anything warm. She is making microbiscuits in this bed, and picking it over her old bed, so I know its a win! As hundreds of other owners of this product will say, the cord is pretty short but we luckily have an outlet near their sunning bench. (Do NOT ever plug it into an extension cord, though- either make it work as-is or find a different one!)
Bed-refusing cat LOVES this thing!
I have a 17 year old cat, that has rejected every bed I have ever purchased. She is nearly blind, nearly deaf, and thinning out. The floor is cold in the winter and I worry lately that she will fall off my bed in the dark. She rejected a few recent bed attempts, but was in this within 30 minutes of plugging in. She now spends hours a day in this by my bed. Is warm, big enough to stretch out, very cushioned and the edge is sturdy and high enough that she does not fall out. Buying a second one to put in another part of the house. Love this!!!
Not a comfortable bed design IMO
I couldn't tell from photos, even in the reviews, that this bed has a rounded pillow in the middle with a big moat around the edges. This is not the kind of design that appeals to me, and I can see why my cat won't set foot in it. Imagine trying to sleep on a bubble? I could not see the "moat" aspect, and that is the issue, though the warming feature is awesome. To test it, I put a couch pillow on top and felt underneath and it was warm, but without the pillow, there is no heat radiating from the bed, so it really does only heat up when a pet is on it. Very cool. But since my girl won't go it, I'm going to try a different design in the same brand, one with "foam" instead of a pillow top.
My older cat loves it!
I have a 12 1/2 year old Siamese cat with arthritis, and she absolutely loves this bed. I had gotten another lower sided style she likes also from the same company, but she loves this one more.
Two very enthusiastic paws up
My 18-year-old tuxedo, Groucho, survived a stroke recently and has severe arthritis that necessitates monthly injections. I thought a heated bed would be just the ticket to ease his joint pain and keep him comfortable, and this bed more than delivered! He loves it.
My Kitties love this Bed
We received this bed Sunday. It took Bentley, my CKD kitty to figure out that it was better than his other beds. Healey, my SCL kitty soon learned about it as well. So far, Healey still sits on my lap and Bentley climbs into bed with dad. My only complaint is that the ay it was packed has it misshapen. They don't care however. It has a very padded bottom, and is just very mildly warm. I don't know how long it will last or launder.
cat didn’t figure it out
My cat loves warm things, but since the bed is cold to start he ignored the bed. It’s a nice safety feature, but seems to be stopping progress for my kitties..I haven’t figured out how to convince him to stay in the bed for 20min to learn that it heats up, so he ignores it. Also I think he prefers beds with lower sides. Loves our other thermokitty bed so it’s a good brand though!
The Cats Love It!
I bought this bed mostly because my kitten was getting neutered and wanted him to have somewhere warm to sleep. Well, we have four cats along with him who also all LOVE the bed. They all take turns in it, definitely would buy this bed again!
Cat loves it!
My husband wanted to buy this for our cat after seeing a video of someone with it. Our cat LOVES it. It is pricey but he loves it so much I definitely recommend it.
