Can you use the heating pad on the top instead?

The K&H Thermo-Kitty Playhouse warming pad can be used on top and it must accompany the cushion when in use. There is not a slit for the cord to feed through the floor or back, it would have to hang over the top a slit would need to be created. The scratch board will not fit in the floor for bottom floor use.
