How do I remove the Pet Bed Warmer?
There is a zipper located in the cushion. Simply unzip that and pull the heater out. To find the zipper pull, take your finger and gently poke it through the bed where the cord comes out of the bed. Now look on the other side to see where your finger is poking through. That is where the zipper pull will be located.
How long is the cord?
The cord is 5.5 feet long.
What temperature will this bed reach?
The surface of the bed will be about 15°F above ambient air temperature until the pet lies on the bed. Then it will warm to about 102°F, which is the natural body temperature of dogs and cats.
Is this heated bed pressure sensitive?
This bed is not pressure sensitive. All K&H heated beds and pads feature dual thermostats and are designed to warm to your pet's normal body temperature when he/she lies on the pad. This is a function of the insulation provided by a pet’s body, not the weight of the pet.K&H beds and pads will emit heat anytime they are plugged in so your pet can sense that heat and be drawn to the bed or pad for warmth and comfort. When your pet is not on the pad, the heat will dissipate into the air and the surface temperature will vary according to the ambient air temperature.
Can I use an extension cord with this product?
MET requires that all manufacturers put the extension cord statement “Do not use with extension cord” on every item that is MET listed by UL 499 standards. This is because they cannot test every extension cord on the market in conjunction with our products for safety. Also, MET suggests that an extension cord is not recommended as a permanent fixture and should only be a temporary solution when using any electrical product.
How long can a heated bed be plugged in?
MET Safety Laboratories suggests unplugging the bed if you leave your home on an extended vacation, as they do with any electrical appliance. Otherwise, it is designed for 24/7 operation and you can leave it plugged in all day. This item has been certified by MET labs to adhere to strict electrical safety standards.
Is there an off/on switch?
There is not an off/on switch. The pad is always on when plugged in.
1-Year Limited Warranty.

Just buy it!
By KiaJD on Feb 8, 2021
I wasn't sure if this would work because my cat is quite fickle, but after she was doing a lot to warm herself (extra snuggles, hanging out in warm areas), I figured she needed a warm spot of her own that was safe. This cat bed is great. I sprayed some catnip on it to draw her attention initially and ever since, she's made it her home. It doesn't get too hot at all. It's warmer near the back where the pad sits but that's good as she can angle her body closer or farther from the heat source as desired. I leave the hood up because she likes privacy and the high sides are perfect as she's often leaning against them for comfort. She's a big girl and the large is plenty of room. Best ever purchase. BUY IT!!!
By Angie on Feb 21, 2021
Cats nap and cuddle up in this every single day, for most of the day. It never gets too hot, just pleasantly warm and perfect for cats. This is by far their favorite place to sleep, especially on cold winter days. One time I accidently unplugged the bed and I had no idea why my girl kept screaming at me. Well, turns out she was unsatisfied with the lack of heat. She settled down once I plugged it back in and it heated back up. So spoiled!

My 17 year old half mainecoon loves this bed!
By Ally on Feb 6, 2021
I've only had this for a couple days so I can't speak on durability. However I will say that my soon to be 17 year old cat has never been a fan of pet beds but he loves this one! The past couple months I've been finding him curled up next to the heat registers or darting towards them when he hears it kick on so I thought I'd give this a try. I only had it plugged in for about 30 minutes before he jumped in it and stayed there for most of the night. Hopefully it holds up!

Favorite bed
By Terrysz on Jan 25, 2021
I would suggest that anyone with a cat purchase one of these beds. With the heated pad in the bottom, it adds a much craved warmth that cats love. It has been a favorite bed of my 2 cats. In the last year, one of my cats was diagnosed with kidney failure. As he progressively got worse, the heated bed was his go to place. In the end, he mostly stayed in it to stay warm due to his thinning coat. I now have one cat that loves his heated bed. I think that every cat owner should have one of these for the comfort of their loved cat. They love it!

Cinder loves it!
By Smiley on Jan 14, 2021
Our Cinder is outside much of the time and we placed this bed in his cat house. He just loves it! Keeps him warm and toasty on cold days. Best feature is that it is not always on. It triggers on when they get in and put weight on it. Also worked great in the house while he was recuperating from being neutered!

Love the heated cat bed!
By Nancy on Jan 9, 2021
My furbaby loves it!! I love it! My cat used to sleep on or near me which interrupted my sleep. Now she crawls into her warm bed, on my bed, but not on me. I have the bed plugged into a timer so it’s warm when it’s bedtime and turns off in the morning. The bed is nice quality, not too big, soft fabric inside, and I like that I can remove the canopy when it is hot during the summer.

Max loves it.
By Susan on Feb 15, 2021
Max is an older gentleman of indeterminant age. He introduced himself to me 12 years ago and he was grown then. He moves a lot slower now, but he's still in the game, and the loves to snuggle down into the warmth of his new bed.

cat loves it
By fishes on Jan 12, 2021
Our cat isn't one for going into boxes or using most cat beds, but she really likes this heated one! She's getting on in years and seemed to be seeking out warm spots more than she used to, so we got her this, and it's been a big hit. It doesn't feel hot to the touch, but apparently it's enough for her to notice.

Roomy for 3
By Lise on Feb 15, 2021
Its a gift - It’s roomy enough for 3 kittens with some room to spare. Wall is firm, very soft & the hood gives them some cover, allowing to sleep peacefully. Also has heat feature to plug in.

A great comfort to my achey geriatric kitty
By Isabel on Dec 6, 2020
I was putting a heating pad for humans on low under my kitty’s old bed but after the setting accidentally got pushed to high one day, I realized this might be safer. I was worried that the outer ring might be too high for my kitty, but she is managing it ok. I took the foam out of the bed and washed it first. It just took a few tricks to get her into it. I had been placing small kitty size blankets in her old bed, so I took one of these blankets and put it in this. Then I put the new bed next to the old one without the hood, sat in it myself for a minute with it turned on to warm it up. Then I sat on the other side of it and coaxed he over as if I was inviting her to sit on my lap. Once she realized how cushy and warm it was, she was no longer interested in the old bed (or my lap!) After about a day, when I was sure she was fine with the bed, I gradually added the hood. It is her favorite spot now. … more
