    Love These ! !

Have purchased more than a dozen. Put them in Coleman coolers with a 6" hole cut in cooler. Have put 8 on enclosed back porch for our colony of strays & ferals & the rest are in a protected area attached to our garage. Warm & happy felines all winter ! ! Thanks Chewy ! !

    Mediocre heat sorce

    By on

The plate doesnt feel as warm as I expected. The chicks seem to have to stay right in the center to stay warm. My least favorite part is the top is very slippery for tiny chick feet causing them do splits and slide all over the plate.

    No chicks--just plates.

    By on

I bought 2 of these to use as plate warmers. I got tired of food becoming cold on our plates before we were finished with the meal. I plug in the Thermo-Peep Heated Pads and put an empty plate on each one before starting to prepare the meal. The plates gently warm up while the meal is being cooked. We leave the pads plugged in while eating. The food stays warm during the entire meal. They would also work under serving dishes, pizza, etc.

Safe heating unit for my chicks

    By on

I bought this unit as I was getting chicks after the holidays and wanted something safe that would minimize a potential fire hazard. I was not comfortable with a lightbulb source or a conventional heating pad. This unit is optimized for the temperature the chicks need. It is very easy to clean as it is made of hard plastic. The cord is substantial and has additional material around the heat source so little beaks can't tear it up. For my 2-day old baby chicks, I originally had it flat on the bottom of their brooder. They did NOT like it. I think it was too hot on their feet. I ended up leaning up against the side of their brooder like a lean-to tent. This allowed them to go under it with the I bought this unit as I was getting chicks after the holidays and wanted something safe that would minimize a potential fire hazard. Once they get bigger, I will add to my review as I think we may run into a size issue. … more

    So far I love it

    By on

I have had this pad for 3 weeks now and it's used outside in a plastic storage container which I crafted into a cat house for strays. It runs continuously for days at a time and warms to a nice stable temp. I currently have two cats that spend every night in there to avoid the freezing temperatures. I'm happy if they are happy. The power cable looks secure and built well which gives me some reassurance about keeping the unit running continuously. I may also order their bigger one they offer on here since I see great results with this heater.

    Works great

    By on

We purchased this to put in the top level of an outside cat house. It is for two stray cats that have adopted us and come in to our home but also like to be outside so if they miss the opportunity to come in we want some kind of shelter for them. This keeps the house toasty for them until they can come in to our home again.

    Heated pet pad

    By on

Not too hot cat loves it! Made a cat house out of a plastic storage tote and drilled a hole in the back for the cord. Fits perfect! The heating pad is a great inexpensive addition for the winter.

    Great for outdoor cats too!

    By on

I use this for my barn cat. It seems a lot safer than a soft surfaced pad. Also since you can anchor it down, you don't have to worry about it sliding around. I use it inside her insulated house. Best of all it doesn't shut off like human heating pads.
