Great bed, but small is VERY small
I was so excited about getting this heated dog bed for my pup, I already have 2 of the cat ones from this company so I knew I would love this as well. The bed is exactly how it looks in the photos but I was definitely mistaken when I thought my beagle ( 30 pounds) would be able to fit in it. Now yes, if she curls up in a ball she can fit in it, but that’s the only way she could use it. I thought this would be perfect for her since the first photo for this product is a beagle in the bed. I wish this was just a tad bigger, I know there is the “large” size but it’s only about 5 inches longer and wider so I don’t even see it being worth 100 more dollars in the end. I will most likely just return this since it’s pretty much just a cat bed, I attached a photo of the “cat” sized heated bed on top of the “small dog” bed. Like I said, these are from the same company so I thought there would be a size difference, but pretty much the same amount of area for them to lay in.
This bed is a HUGE hit with my two cats.
I bought this for my two cats Pobble and Pip, 13 lbs and 15 lbs respectively. I wanted to make sure they were warm enough at night when I shut them in the laundry room. Since I set it up, there has rarely been a time when there has not been at least one of them in it. In fact, they seem to prefer sleeping in there even when they have the full run of the house. I think they like being in their own "space". I was a little worried that this medium size bed would be too small for both cats at the same time, and it is true that it is quite tight with both of them in there. They don't seem to mind, but I wonder if it's good for them, and whether or not they would like to have more space to stretch out. I am toying with the idea of getting the bigger version also. This bed appears to be well-made and is extremely cozy. I particularly like how it does not heat up unless the cat sits in it. I hate to waste electricity and can't help thinking that the beds that are on constantly might be a fire hazard. I also didn't want one with a timer on it. That just seems like a bit of a pain. Pobble, Pip, and I are thrilled with this purchase!
emphasis on SMALL BREED
I purchased the large for my basset hounds and it is incredibly small. My hounds are between 45 and 55 pounds. I checked out the stats on this again and noticed it emphasized “small breed.” So it is my fault for not reading. The quality also didn’t feel like a 150 bucks to me. Any dog larger than a dachshund won’t be able to sleep comfortably on a large.
It’s a Big Hit
I ordered this for my kitty Zoey she’s a big girl . I just tell her she’s Poofie !! She does have this in a smaller version but I wanted to upgrade because she likes to stretch out in her beds. This one is perfect and the price was right !!! I did see were people said the pillow was too full, but I didn’t find that with mine. The heat is just the right amount it gets cold here in Michigan! If you’re thinking about getting this, just do it !! you won’t be disappointed. Neither will your little for a baby.
Prince Approved
I didn't even get the chance to plug it in before my boy started using it so I think it's a safe bet that this was a worth while investment. My only complaint is that in order to turn off the heating pad I have to unplug it since the chord doesn't have an on/off switch. Hopefully K&H will implement this change in future products.
Dachshund approved!
We just ordered our second (size medium) cuddler bed for our "third wheel" dachshund who doesn't quite fit in the large bed with his bonded brothers. These beds are awesome! Love that they don't get too hot, and the entry point isn't too high for little legs to traverse. The original bed is 2 years old and still going strong. This new bed arrived in 24 hours after ordering from Chewy. Highly recommended!
My cat is in love!
My 10 year old tabby has never liked any bed I've purchased. With side, no sides, didn't matter. But she's getting older and looking for warm places to sleep. Particularly my lap while I'm working and my chest while I'm watching tv. Thought we'd give this try. Boy it didn't take long before she discovered how warm, cushy and cozy this bed feels. The bed gets just slightly warm so it's not concerning that she'll overheat.
So good I just bought another one for upstairs
My dog is 14 years old, small (12 pounds), arthritic, short legs so low to the ground, and extremely thin fur and no body fat. He gets cold FAST. He also won't wear sweaters or clothes, and our house is cold so I always worry that he is too. And, he is SO PICKY with beds. I have spent literally hundreds and hundreds of dollars on different beds for him over the last 7 years. I have tried them ALL, searching for a bed he's comfortable on. Enclosed ones. Beanbag ones. Cuddler ones. Ones with low walls. Ones with no walls. Heated ones. Arthritis-specialty ones. Orthopedic ones. Memory foam ones. AAARGHHHH. This is the only, only, ONLY bed he has EVER returned to after the first try. I'm going to say that again: This is the ONLY BED he has EVER returned to after the first try. (He's actually sleeping in it right now.) The plush low walls are perfect for him to rest his chin on when he's sleeping, or rub his face against when he does his waking-up groaning/thrashing stretches. I also like the fact that there's a little "door" in the wall at the front so he doesn't have to hop over anything first to get comfortable - even though the walls are only about ... what, 5 or 6 inches or similar? ... he still can just WALK into the bed instead of having to hop into it which is great for his sore old joints. The relief is amazing - I know he's happy and comfortable now. I'm so happy with it that I just bought a second one to put upstairs in my home office. This bed is AMAZING. If your dog is old, picky, arthritic, you live in a cold house, or dog gets cold easily, GET THIS BED.
Comfort & Relief
Purchased this heated pet bed as a gift for a relative's senior cat with health issues. Poor guy wasn't getting much sleep due to constant aches and pains. He apparently LOVES his new pet bed....and seems to be getting more relief and comfort than he has for a very long time.
Nice warm bed
I sent this to my sister's Jack Russell in Colorado. She is almost 16 years old. The bed has kept her warm and calm. I got her the medium and it is perfect. It was also a great deal.
