Worst purchase ever
When I first saw this, it seemed like a good concept, and different than your typical cat tree. When it arrived and was trying to put it together, I had a very hard time due to my wrists being very weak from carpal tunnel. You have to push the tubes into the other parts extremely hard to get them to stay. Another thing I disliked was how filthy the cloth gets, and how hard it is to clean it. Even with a lint roller I can't get the fur off. Every time one of my cats jumped on it, a tube would come apart. Eventually all of them would come apart on each level, just from my cats jumping up on it. My cats usually just slept on it. I rescued a kitten last year and she would play a little with the balls, but not much. I've had this for almost a year...I got so sick of constantly having to put this monstrosity back together that I put it upstairs and bought an actual cat tower that's 62" tall and sturdy for the downstairs. This thing is so unstable and falling apart almost every day. Just imagine, my 9lb cat just jumping up on it to take a nap, and the support tubes just coming apart. So if you don't want to give your a headache and sore hands from having to put it back together every day, don't buy this.
My Kitty City
I absolutely love this. It was easy to put together, my cats are happy and not fighting over spots to lay. It has made me happy as a multiple cat owner. I plan on buying the connections to it to make it bigger.
With 6 cats it is always a challenge to find something that they can all play with. This was a real winner! They have played nonstop since this was put together. The balls didn't last 20 minutes as the strings are not strong enough to withstand all of the batting and attacking. The nylon "houses" will have to be replaced as it does not hold up well with their claws.
Great for the Cats, Pain to Constantly Rebuild
My three cats adore this cat condo. They jump all over it and play on it all the time. My only pain with this thing is that they play so roughly that I constantly have to rebuild it. I tried glue and other adhesives, but the pieces still come apart easily. If it wasn't for that fact, I'd definitely give this 5 stars.
Good for the price
My cats like this but it doesn’t stay together very well. Good for the price
Good concept but...
This is a neat concept. I like the idea that you can configure it the way you want and change it up but it doesn't like to stay together very well. Just after a week, I walked into my cat's play area and it had fallen completely apart. The fabric, the way it attaches to each other, is also a little strange. I really needed something for them to climb on, though so...I guess it's okay as a temporary thing until I can afford something better for them. If this product had a better way to hold the poles together, it would be much more satisfactory.
Do Not Waste Your Money
This thing is supposed to hold cats and allow them to play?? That’s funny. It fell apart within minutes of my 2 regular sized cats laying on it. I put it back together, and they started playing on it. Then it fell apart again. I kept having to fix it literally every few minutes. Definitely not a “play city” when cats can’t actually play on it or even just lay. My husband and I decided to just throw it out. Was way too much trouble than it was worth. I mean, it’s cheap… so I guess you get what you pay for. Just don’t waste your money. Whole thing falls apart so easy and the parts go EVERYWHERE.
Useful, maybe not for everyone or everypet
Assembly is very required, but if you can put together kids riding toys, bikes, do puzzles or even crafts you can do this 80 -90 piece kitty condo. Pieces do not fix in permanently so (like a real condo) will require periodic maintenance of putting bars and/or connectors back in place. If you have a very active cat or multiple it could be daily for a while, but Charlie loves her home, especially all the scratch posts
Excellent Product that keeps falling apart
I bought this after my older kitten was found often lounging on smaller versions of the same thing. I purchased this, expecting that she'd like it but knowing about the issues regarding durability. First, it took me a bit longer than anticipated putting it together. I'm not the most furniture savvy of people though. But it's time consuming interlocking all the pieces together (it took me upwards of an hour, give or take). It also really does come apart a lot. I'm constantly pushing pieces of it back together: usually at least every other day I have to reconnect some part of it. The cat I bought it for absolutely loves it: she's frequently all over it, and it's one of her favorite perches. The various toys do a good job entertaining both her and my newer kitten (who often climbs on it). I will say to be careful, as when my cat got bigger she managed to flip the entire structure over by climbing atop it. (she no longer jumps on it). So it's beloved by my cats and really entertains and comforts them, but it was a pain to put together and is constantly falling apart. If you're sure your cats will like it, and you don't mind putting stuff back together, give it a shot. I'd say it's worth it.
Falls apart several times a day! My cats do love it but sometimes when they go to get on it it falls apart. I have to fix it at least 5x a day. Idk why it can’t stay together! I want to glue it but then Ik I couldn’t take it apart to wash it. It’s extremely frustrating!
