Kitty Holster Cat Harness

While I loved the ease of this harness and the apparent comfort (cat initially just went back to sleep) you need to make sure to buy the correct size and really make sure it is tight but not constricting. Kirby managed to pull a Houdini and removed himself from this harness in quick time with all the velcro intact and was quite proud of himself. The harness itself is well made and does appear to be comfortable for the feline friends.

I have tried a couple of other harness. The bottom line is my cat doesn’t want to walk on a leash. As harnesses go this one seems to be very good. He kept it on right away. I found it somewhat hard to put on because you can’t see where you are trying to match the Velcro as it’s under his neck and under his abdomen. He is very fluffy which is a drawback because I can’t see if I’m catching his fur attaching Velcro. It’s a very wide band of Velcro and when I removed it I was afraid I had caught his fur and would be pulling his hair. Overall if you have an adventurous cat it’s a good harness to try.

I had previously bought a leash-like harness and my cat was not having it at all. I put treats on top of this harness on day one. On day two I put the harness on with very little resistance. My cat walked a little weird at first but we’ve had no issues. He tried once to wiggle out but he couldn’t. I got the extra small and his measurements were smaller than listed but it fits well. Make sure to buy a leash since this harness does not come with one. This harness is a little pricer than the leash like ones but I would happily pay more than the listed price on this harness because of the ease and functionality of this harness.

My daughter didn't know if Marco-cat, who is very large & active, would like the harness or the outdoor walk, but he LOVES both. The harness doesn't bother him at all and he knows where he lives when he's finished w/his walk! :) Because he is so active inside, the daily walks have helped him use up some of his excess energy! My daughter loves it!

So easy to put on. I don't have to figure out how to hook it up. My cat is new to me and evan fought me putting a collar on. I thought it would be impossible to get a harness on, but it was so easy! I did order a medium since my cat is 10 pounds and a small maxes out at 10 pounds, I should have bought the small. There is no slipping out of this harness!

We try to keep our cats indoors, but we adopted one who insists on going outside. As a compromise we suit him up in the Kitty Holster with leash and let him roam the back yard. This is our second kitty holster, the Velcro closure on the first one wore out over time. Yes, I would recommend this product.

My son owns a Bobtail, which according to breed characteristics, likes to walk on a leash. This harness is very secure with heavy duty Velcro, so Balthazar shouldn’t be able to slip out of it once he get accustomed to going outside.

Want to love this harness because I see it everywhere but the kitten (7 months) is clearly a little uncomfortable in it all the time. I'm not sure if he is just a little small for it, but I am pretty sure we have the right size. It looks like it fits snuggly at the beginning of an outdoor excursion, but 10 minutes in I realize that something's wrong and the harness is sliding to one side or another. Oh well!
