Not for my kitties
By FurMomma on Apr 14, 2021
Unfortunately these harnesses didn’t really work for any of my cats. All 3 of them would walk funny and start rolling around trying to get them off. I was persistent because I really wanted them to work. One day I had one of my younger kitties outside on this harness and he got spooked by something and managed to get out of it, I got him back after an hour but it was a stressful experience. I tried it again yesterday and made sure the harness was as tight as I could get it and he still managed to wiggle out of it within seconds, I don’t know how he does it. It’s definitely the right size and I make sure it’s snug. I even tried two different sizes to be sure. I haven’t decided whether to return them or donate them, because I think they could maybe work for someone else’s cat if they were really mellow. My younger kitties are too rambunctious and my older cat is mellow enough for the harness but can’t stand wearing it. They are adorable though! And definitely have potential for chill cats. … more

Best Way to Take a Cat Outside
By Dave on Mar 28, 2021
This is simply the best restraint by far for any cat. I tried another, flimsier harness before this and my cat easily wriggled out of it. Thank goodness, we were inside. The Kitty Holster is easy to put on and adjust snugly. No bothersome buckles to fool with. It holds the cat firmly without causing any discomfort. One word of caution: Be careful removing it. I think I caught the Velcro on the cat's fur, and he turned vicious. By being careful, you can easily avoid that catastrophe. A word of advice, too: This harness does not come with a leash. You have to buy that separately. Chewy.com has leashes of various lengths, colors and widths. So does a competitor (at a slightly lower price). prewashed fabric would be better
By harness on Apr 11, 2021
Overall great quality, decent fit, and large enough velcro areas. The only negative point is that the fabric was not prewashed prior to the harness assembly to remove chemicals, which I must do before use and handling for myself and our cats. During the washing process, the fit, soft feel, and size, no matter what, suffer. I wash a lot and also sew myself, so I know how to tackle this. This one point makes the harness much less user-friendly.

pretty much is a straight jacket
By robb on Apr 1, 2021
the product works to keep your cat in which I think is the main aspect that is advertised for this however, flexibility and comfort I dont believe the cat will have when WALKING because I've tried it on two cats, and can see that they cannot lift their legs naturally due to the thickness and rigidity of the straps. they'll be fine if they're just sitting or lying down. but this will prevent them from curving their spine normally which they're great at for escaping

My kitten loves it
By Pamela on Mar 17, 2021 top1000Contributor
We bought this for our large 6 month old kitten to start training him at an early age. Its a great product the kitten readily accepts. It also appears quite sturdy and unlikely the kitten can escape from. It is a bit big for my 8 pound kitten, but certainly he will grow into it. The kitten is learning to walk quite readily and I feel safe using it, of course always supervised and short distances. Its a little pricey for the quality and not sure if used daily it will last a long time, but definitely worth the purchase

Made for a fat, wide cat
By CCL2021 on Apr 9, 2021
If your cat's legs are closer together, this might not be your best choice. My cat, a very tractable animal, let me put this on her but she could not walk properly. Within a few minutes, she had managed to remove one leg from it in attempt to escape it so be careful not to leave cat unattended. It fit her everywhere but the legs.

Outdoor time for kitty
By Catharness on Apr 8, 2021
I'm not as happy with this harness as I'd thought I would be. The harness does not have "padding" in the covering. It's not as comfortable to place on a cat as I'd hoped and the Velcro under the cat for fastening is not convenient. The fastening would have been better at the spine of the cat. Harness comes without a leash so add another $15 for a good leash.

snug & secure
By walkthecat on Mar 27, 2021
Great jacket for my jumbo sized cat who would not in a million years go for a standard harness. He took to it immediately once he realized he could then go out to the backyard. Very easy to put on but I gave four stars because the Velcro is soooo strong it is hard to take the jacket off. Some super glue is needed now as the Velcro pulled away a bit from the material. Otherwise, fantastic product!

No-trouble harness!
By mickiwg on Apr 1, 2021
We've used several cat harnesses from which our smaller cats easily escaped. This Velcro vest has not failed us yet! The cat's front legs are much more comfortable and have better movement in this harness. She actually walks over to where we hang the harness when we say "want to go outside?" and patiently waits for us to put it on. (we actually got the black one - extra small)

Either my cat is Houdini or....
By Houdini on Mar 14, 2021
So this seemed great and might work for most kitties, but not for mine. I used it when we traveled on a plane. He was fine with it in the enclosed security room. But I kept in on him in the carrier for just in case and he made his way completely out of it! I would be worried to take him out exploring with it. I need to find something he can keep on. He loves exploring and I’d love to give him other safe opportunities. Recs anyone?
