Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.
Designed for light/moderate chewing. For tough chew sessions, try KONG rubber toys.
My dog loved this toy when it first arrived but he was able to chew through both the rope and ball within 15 minutes. Terrible quality and a waste of money.
My German Shepherd puppy is a tennis ball connoisseur, and especially loves the Kong brand ones that squeak. However, this rope is plastic and she destroyed it in less than 5 minutes. Don’t buy if you plan to use it as a tug toy, it isn’t a durable rope.
5 minutes new and chewed off string! Poor quality toy I thought Kong products were supposed to be strong? What are some toys that can not be destroyed I don’t even have a big dog!
My dogs loves them. Is the only tennis ball that she fetchs. They don’t last long but for the price is fine. I stock up
The balls are to hard for him and the rope is to small for him to get a tight grip
The ball was so hard my very motivated Toller could not make it squeak. My husband worked hard and elicited a few chirps. The dog discovered the only thing of interest which was the woven plastic rope and that was entirely chewed through in two minutes. Our dog does not usually destroy toys so this was a surprise.
Our Golden Retriever puppy has gone crazy over this toy. She loves the tennis ball that is attached and we throw and retrieve for several good throws. She's only 5 months old, but this toy has lasted and lasted and lasted.
My lab chewed through the rope quite literally in a minute. Do not recommend for chewers or medium/big dogs
I've got a chompy 5mo cavachon and so I went looking for toys with some length to put some physical distance between my hand and pup's teeth. Chewy had several great ones, and I'm happy with all my purchases for different reasons, this one included. My doggy loves this, but it's not holding up well. The ball has a plastic twine rope through the middle, making the pendulum swing fun for tossing; however, he's already frayed 2 or 3 spots. I tied a knot around each spot with the rope, but can tell this is on its way out :(. I try to not let my pup chomp on it too much, but it's still clearly less made for chewing than other rope toys :(. Hes only 10lbs and growing, so who knows with a bigger pup!? Maybe if you keep this toy only for fetch sessions and they're past teething this would last better?! Still worth it at a sale price!
This ball-on-a-rope was fun while it lasted, but we really only had it a few days...and a few throws...before the rope came out. If I really wanted to, I'm sure I could muscle it back together, but I just worry the same thing will happen pretty quickly. All-in-all...meh.
