  • 'Ballistic' is in the mouth of the beholder...

    By on

Started to get unraveled/chewed apart in less than 10 minutes. So, not sure what was so "Ballistic" about it. Thought I was getting a chew resistant toy, but the seams especially gave way fast and the overall material was not particularly strong. Really looking for a 'soft' toy for hard chewers but can't find anything! It can't all be black Kongs!! Not satisfying for chewing, but good for standing up to chews for treats... But my babies want a soft chew toy too! Any suggestions welcome!!

  • Lasted five minutes

If there's a weak spot of any kind, my dog finds it and works on that spot until he gets it ripped. This toy's stitching wasn't completely closed or the area where the two ends meet weren't strong enough to withstand my dog. He's a neutered male nine-month-old shepherd mix. This was his Christmas present...in the trash it went after just a few minutes.

  • Took less than an hour.

It took less than 30 minutes for my 25 pound manchester terrier mix to tear into this thing and remove a squeaker. I don't reccomend this if you have a power chewer. You'll just get a floor full of fuzz.

  • not fit for Tasmanian Terriers

    By on

OK, no such breed. But take some crazy terrier breed and mix it with some crazy blue heeler mutt and you get a Tasmanian Terrier able to destroy even Kong toys. That said, the Great Dane pup loves it even after his "big" brother chewed one end off.

  • Nor recommended for puppies.

My 14 week old puppy tears this thing up! She pulls on the edging until there are strings and tries to eat them. It's a nice toy though. Well made, heavy duty with 3 squeakers inside. I have had to trim this thing every day to avoid her eating them.

  • Large dog toy

Mine came in blue, and is quite a large dog toy. It tumbles safely when tossed, and sometimes my dog will chase and retrieve it, sometimes chew it, and sometimes use it like a pillow.

  • Terrible Product

    By on

Discribed as the strongest most indestructible toy I bought it. Well it turns out it lasted about 3 days and now it's junk. I only have a little 15lb ShihTzu so it's not like a big German Shepard was playing with it. Totally disappointed with it especially for the $15 price. Save your money and find something else. Also we only let him play with it about a hour a day. If we let him have it all day wouldn't have lasted 8hrs.

  • Didn't last 10 mins on Christmas morn!

    By on

Although my pug enjoyed opening up his present and licking his new toy, his roommate, a dachshund, destoyed both in ten minutes. It only took a moment to get into the ballistic fabric and then he had a blast emptying the toys. I thought that these would be sturdier toys.

  • This toy lasted 20 minutes.

We got this toy for our dog because he's a heavy chewer that likes soft toys. With the Kong name we thought we could at least get a couple days out of it. Not the case.

  • Tuff Toy

    By on

Trust me when I say nothing lasts in my house not even The black extreme Kongs! I have paid good money and gone through toy after toy for my girls. They destroy everything in site. Antlers you name it I have to get elk antlers only they last some. But the one baby I have figures everything out from Chapstick to the tuff toys to use their mind to get the treats out. These last and are good for the pool to. To my surprise they truly last. I'm sure if I let them sit for a few hours chewing their way they would be destroyed but I usually only give them like an hour to a half to just sit and relax and chew. I keep them occupied on other things so they are busy and and not bored giving them time to Trust me when I say nothing lasts in my house not even The black extreme Kongs!
