  • Heavy! Meant for large treats, not kibble

    By on

The hole in the side of this is about the size of a nickle, which means if you put kibble in, a *lot* comes out when it rolls around. I think it was meant for larger treats. It is heavy, so the cats really have to push it to get it to roll enough; it doesn't do much if they just bat at it in the same way they do string or smaller loose toys. Because it's heavy, it's also loud on the wood floor when it does roll, which scares one cat enough he doesn't like to use it. Both cats were bonkers for it the first night, doing more head rubbing and rolling against it than batting at it or making it roll. We're 3 days in now and they both completely ignore it even though it has their favorite kibble The hole in the side of this is about the size of a nickle, which means if you put kibble in, a *lot* comes out when it rolls around. • Super Cat!

    By on

This item is more suitable for a dog or a muscular cat. My cat is not interested in it. It is too hard to activate and the reward is slow in coming. With only one hole to dispense the food, it takes a frustratingly long time to get " the prize." I plan to reintroduce this to her at a later time when she is more accustomed to working for her food.

  • Better for bigger cats

    By on

This was too heavy for my cats to be interested in. They liked the little tail part tho! It may be good for cats like bengals and savannahs. I took the tail part off for a cat toy and started using it for my dog (who loves it).

  • Pretty easy

    By on

Guess I should use bigger bits. My 3 figured it out pretty over ate then threw up. Bigger pieces might make it work better as perhaps only 1 will come out at a time

  • Cat likes t

My cat really had a nice time playing with it the first day. Treats need to be fresh to keep her attention.

  • This treat dispenser is too heavy

    By on

I use food dispensers for one of my cats that gobbles his food . He has used plastic ones before. This one is bigger and heavier, than others I have bought him. I thought it wouldnt break as easily, as one did. However, he doesnt use it because the base is so heavy. He just gives up quickly and doesnt try to get the food out.

  • Kitty's Favorite!

    By on

This is by far my cat's FAVORITE toy. Aside from keeping him busy, and making him work for his treats, he plays with it when it's empty. He plays agressively so this is excellent for our Tom. As other users stated, it is heavy, but tom drags it around the house by the "feather rope" on top. And hes only 12 lbs! He even manages to drag in over the side of his favorite basket(10"sides) and guards it like prey.lol

My mancoon loves this because it is his size. My other smaller cat dosent like it because it is too heavy for her. But it is a great large cat toy
