Great for dogs with allergies

Kong is one of the hypoallergenic dog toy manufacturers and now since they make bones it's great for dogs who have food allergies. My dog has a protein allergy so any of the chicken or beef or bacon flavoring added to bones can cause him troubles. These are great and he loves them.

Splinter easily

I bought two of these for my two Golden’s, and they both were able to crack them immediately. Splinters of plastic came off. I had to throw them away. So hard to find good chew toys for these two!

Durable and Long lasting

This bone provides endless hours of entertainment! My dog loves to play with the bone and bring it along everywhere. The rough surface has also been helping to clean my dogs teeth.

Not great for aggressive chewers

This did not last my dog more than a few minutes. She was able to pull pieces off and I found pieces on the couch and in her poop. Benebones last her days so will not be buying this as a substitute especially since they have similar price points but not similar quality.

Kong Chew Stix

Lasted less than 24 hours in our house with 2 labs. Not designed for heavy chewers like they advertise they are for.

Destroyed fast

My dog is a chewer, he chewed it all in 10 minutes. He chews other toys as well but it seems the material they used to create this exact toy is a lot thinner and weaker. Do not recommend for chewers

Dog gives it 2 paws up

Got this about an hour ago and my 10 month old Border Collie has not put it down since it came out of the Chewy box. She has already put some serious wear and tear on it and I doubt it will last more than a week. As long as she doesn't start puking up sawdust I am OK with the little bits and pieces littering the floor. A little pricy for no durability, but hey, she loves it.

OK, not great

Like others I purchased on the Kong name and description of being “safer” alternative. Our 2 labs actually do constantly chew sticks and tree bark outside so this seemed like a perfect fit. In the first night our female had one of the ends almost completely gone and the male wasn’t too far behind. After a week both bones have lost both ends. It does leave tiny bits everywhere as well...nothing the vacuum can’t handle just mentioning it for other to be aware of. Sort of a confusing description on this item. Says “safer” natural alternative but then says not to be consumed. Well what do they expect is going to happen to all those bacon flavored bits? They both love this bone which is great and hasn’t seemed to bother them at all but not sure if I would buy again.

Not for chewing

This is not a good chew toy for any moderate to aggressive chewers. My dog ended up consuming some of the “flaking” parts of the toy and then vomited because of it.

Dogs are obsessed

This product by Kong could be there best to date. My 2 dogs are obsessed with this bone. I finally had to buy another so they wouldn’t keep taking it from each other. They chew on these bones all day long, it keeps them busy and happy. And I don’t know why people are complaining about the small pieces? This is like saw dust, it makes me feel safer to have this happen then the big pieces that come off like the other products out there. My dogs are hooked for life.
