rubber cracking
I put a chew inside of the kong and unfortunately the rubber is now splitting around the hole at the base. I have used kongs in the past and they have lasted well, not sure if it is this kong or that my dog is a much stronger chewer than past dogs. On the bright side, these chews typically only last an hour or two maximum, and the kong has made it last about 3 days, and still going.
Great toy but order a size up
A great and classic dog treat toy that holds up well. I do feel their size recommendations are off and would suggest you order a size up. I ordered 2 larges and they just feel so small and don't fit my dog's dinner. I also have an XL that fits 1 cup of kibble perfectly which is my preferred size for my dogs and has lasted for years.
Great for my super chewer!
This is the second KONG classic I have bought for my 80 lb pitbul. She is a tough chewer! The first KONG lasted well over 6 months, the new one is holding up just the same so far. My dog is the textbook definition for a tough chewer, so I don't expect all toys to last several months. But I am really pleased with the quality of this toy.
Great for most dogs. Not for powerful chewers.
This version is great for most dogs. My 5 month old puppy has this toy in the medium size. She loves it, and so far it is standing up to her chewing. However, this small one was for my 8 year old dachshund. He only had it for 30 minutes, and this what he did. Apparently he needs the extreme one to stand up to his chewing.
Kong toys are indestructible
I love these Kong toys! Our yellow lab pup is 9 months old now and she still chews hard on and plays with many of the Kong toys we purchased when she was 9 weeks old. Of course, now, we’ve had to replace some with bigger sizes.

Appears Indestructable
I have a puppy around 6 months old. Has all her adult teeth and can destroy any toy in a matter of hours or days. So far this has held up like the other Kong rubber toys. Worth the money - she loves the way it bounces when she drops it - plays for hours with it
Dangerous but Fun
My dog, which is a 10 month old Maltese Shih Tzu breed loved this toy. We used the ZIGGIES Kong treats with the toy, and when they got too short, it would get stuck. After I showered, I went to go check on her to see how she was doing. I noticed that the toy was stuck on the lower part of her jaw. It gave her a panic attack because she felt uncomfortable with the toy trapping her tongue as my mom, my sister, and I surrounded her and tried to take it off. Her teeth was inside the toy with her jaw so we had to try and cut it loose. We took it off and she was panicking a lot and drinking lots of water.
great product
This is the perdect toy for my dog! I put peanut butter inside for her to lick out to keep her occupied when I leave the house and I also toss it for her to fetch. The odd shape makes it bouce erratically which keeps her guessing. Great product - arrived quickly - dog loves it!
Classic Kong
It's a Kong. If you've had dogs in the last 30 years, you know about this toy. They aren't cheap, but they are durable (get the right size or the black one, if your dog is a power chewer) and will last for years if not left outside in the sun.
