STUFF: Stuff loosely for beginners or tighter for more advanced users (w/KONG Snacks or your dog's favorite kibble).

ENTICE: Use a tasty appetizer such as KONG Easy Treat or peanut butter.

ENRICH: A stuffed KONG offers mental and physical enrichment.

EXTEND: Want to extend playtime? Freeze for a longer-lasting challenge.

Useful for surgical recovery

I bought several of these ahead of time for a dog who had an orthopedic surgery with long recovery planned. They've been oh so useful. I make up a mixture of wetted kibble mixed with canned food and peanut butter, stuff the kongs and freeze. I reduce his meal amounts by the amounts I stuff into the Kongs. He gets one stuffed Kong after breakfast, and one in the evening. I remove them when they're emptied and give other items like smoked bones, yak milk chews, favorite crinkle toys, and lead walks, rotating this way so he maintains interest. It's tough with a long orthopedic surgery recovery ( 3 months) for a puppy, the Kongs are a real help with this.

prefers the red to the black

My new rescue dog is an enthusiastic chewer so I got her a couple of different Kong toys to try out. She's medium sized and rather anxious. She seems to find the black one too tough to enjoy (unless I put cheese spray and treats in it) but she enjoys chewing on the red one all by itself. Not sure how long it will hold up. Still waiting to see about that.

Kong hole too small

I have been trying to replace the original Kong I've had for years, but every size I have the hole is too small. I can squeeze a milk bone in the hole with peanut butter, but my dog can't get the bone out. I have to soak the Kong ball to get the bone out before it rots in there. This is the third one I've bought, but the holes are all the same size.

This is a great toy

My small dog has a larger version of this toy which he chews on, but it's a little big to play with. This new smaller version is perfect for him! He carries it around and can toss it himself and retrieve it easily. He's really happy with it/ He is an 18 lb. Bichon mix. Thanks!

Disappointing Follow Up

Our pup graduated from the puppy Kong and we ordered the next size up when the baby blue started to show age. However, we were very disappointed when our pup was able to chew right through the classic in 20 minutes. We followed up with Chewy to exchange the 2nd classic we ordered in the same order for the extreme but have yet to hear back.

They ARE a classic!

The large classic kong is a classic indeed. I have 3 of these (and 1 black extreme kong). My dog has enjoyed the classic kong for a long time. They last and clean up easy, even after being stuffed with hard cheese to fill in small hole, plus plain yogurt, pumpkin puree, banana pieces, berries, a little bit of natural peanut butter and half a milkbone sticking out the end then FROZEN. My dog gets one every time I leave the house for a lengthy period of time and they keep him busy and happy and he loves running to get the empty one when I get home to show me it is indeed empty!

Do not buy this toy

I bought this for my new 2 year old hound mix..he loves it..but it smells like chemicals and rubber combined..I am afraid to let him have this..will be making it disappear and will be contacting Chewy on how to either replace or get a refund..this is not a good product!

Sizing and weight ratings are just odd

I have several Kongs for my older dog so I already knew that the sizing of Kongs was not intuitive. However, for my new puppy, I decided to follow the weight rating and get the small (supposedly for dogs up to 20lbs) since he was only 6lbs when I brought him home. By the time he hit 10-11lbs I already felt it was getting unsafe to give him such a small object, even though he's always supervised with it. Not to mention the hole is so small, he has been unable to get out most of the food I put in. Maybe the Kong design just doesn't work in such a small size, or maybe it would work for a small adult dog, but for a growing puppy, this just was not the right way to go.

Perfect for enrichment

My dogs (German Shorthaired Pointer and Toy Australian Shepherd) LOVE these Kongs! I'm able to freeze them or serve snacks as is and they hold up month after month. I highly recommend these!

Dogs love them

These are great for chewers and boredom busters. I insert peanut butter, Beggin Strips or chicken where my dogs have to work to get them out. I have mixed peanut butter and a banana together and then put a couple tablespoons inside the kong and freeze. Keeps my dog occupied and I get things done at the house.
