  • Very tough frisbee toy.

    By on

Our dog loves to chase a frisbee that will fly and then roll on the ground. This Kong flyer is good for that. It is heavy rubber, about 9 inches in diameter. Although it is a bit floppy, it does fly decently and rolls OK, though not as well as some others. But it is the toughest frisbee toy I've come across, after trying quite a few other flying disc toys. It holds up very well to heavy chewing and tugging -- our shepherd routinely destroys supposedly durable toys, but this one has survived. Chewy prices, shipping, and service have been very good, and returns/refunds have been seamless and prompt.

  • Very surprised

I haven't had this for very long but so far it's lasted a day through being the favorite toy since opened. My dogs are very aggressive chewers and tuggers. This frisbee has made it through tugging chomping chewing sessions and some how has no marks what so ever. if it weren't for slobber and dirt this thing still looks new and with my dogs that's very impressive. Also love that it's not too hard yet flies well for being so flimsy and my dogs love that they can shake it/flap it around and bend it just makes them even crazier about this toy.

  • Tough & Sturdy

    By on

I wanted to wait to write this review until my dog had played with it quite a bit. We have had many different kinds and brands of frisbees and they always end up destroyed. The most recent one was actually made of a similar material, but a lot thinner and my dog tore it to pieces in less than a minute. This frisbee has held up against my crazy pup and his rough play. I was weary of the Kong brand thinking maybe it was just hype, but this brand is great quality for a great price. This was a good purchase.

  • Great toy but...

    By on

This Kong frisbee is a great toy for any dog. However, my wonderful pooches can be monsters at times, as they ripped apart their last Kong frisbee in a game of tug-of-war. I purchased a new one, thinking it would last about as long as the old one (about 3 months) but they proceeded to tear the new one apart in less than 2 days. The Kong brand itself states on the packaging that "no toy is indestructible", but I suppose I need to look for a brand that's a tad bit more durable... At least for a Border Collie and Corgi that both reeeeeeally want the frisbee...

  • Not for tugging

    By on

Durable for a single dog, a bit heavy in the air, but if you have a team that plays catch together and tends to tug o war, a bit between fetching and throwing... not a great option in the long run. As an alternative, try the Chuckit! Flying Squirrel. Our Labs love this one, again, not meant to be a tug toy, but it holds up to a little bit of tug o war before they bring it back to us. The squirrel flies really well too.

  • The ONLY frisbee for your dog

    By on

Buddy, an Aussie Shep mix, loves to play. This frisbee is perfect. It flies very predictably, and the soft rubber doesn't cause any damage to the mouth/gums. Can't say the same for the hard plastic discs! We've used it for 2 years, and, even though he sometimes chews on it, has only suffered one minor hole - which doesn't affect its function. Just decided to buy another to have as a spare. Very good product!

  • Another Kong winner!

    By on

I had my doubts about this "floppy" rubber frisbee, but oddly enough my labs (big chewers) aren't chewing on it at all. There seems to be something about the soft feel that deters them. The disk flies very well, which also surprised me. This disk is great for my older lab...easy on her mouth and teeth, plus her two boys (1 year old) love it as well. My labs love all of their Kong toys...they're all great!

  • Great Fly Toy

    By on

My son got our Australian Cattle dog a dog frisbee from the store and he tore it apart in 30 seconds despite it being heavy duty. So we ordered one of these and he has tried but is unable to chew it up and tear it apart. It is still in one piece. Grateful to find one worth the money. Would definately recommend especially if your dog is an agressive chewer.

  • Perfect water toy

    By on

We love this! Our dogs know not to chew their kongs and this is the same material. It is a good flyer in the air as well. I think everyone needs one of these if your dog plays fetch. I like that it can be used for beginners who are learning to play fetch as it doesn't fall down as fast and isn't heavy when it hits their head ;)
