KONG Classic Flyer Frisbee Dog Toy

We bought this Frisbee for our new family member, a 2 year old Broder Collie/Blue Heeler rescue. He has tons of energy naturally, but coming right out of a shelter after 2 failed homing attempts, he had lots extra emotions to deal with. Winter in Minnesota makes outdoor time challenging. I wanted something fun for him to concentrate on without exhausting me! This Frisbee was an instant hit. It's very rugged. At first all he wanted to do was run it down and kill it! I thought he'd throw his neck out shaking it while he tried to destroy it. After some energy was used up he got the hang of catching and bringing it back! From the minute we step out the door until we come back in his Kong Frisbee is in play. It's been the perfect tool to teach him the game of fetch, drop, catch as well as learning to trust us to connect with him while we play. It's out in the cold 24hrs a day but stays pliable. I have had these frisbees before but this time they did not last at ALL! I think cold weather/snow makes them brittle. After only one day playing with them they had cracks around the edges and one was missing a chunk. Now after a couple of days of play, they are pretty well shredded! I like playing with frisbees in the snow because they don't get buried like balls do! My 2 German Shepherds LOVE to play with their toys - even when there is snow on the ground! They do tend to fold them in half when picking them up, though, and I suspect that's hard on the frisbee. I have ordered a different brand in hopes that they will hold up better, because snow in Iowa will be here for awhile!

I bought two of these for my German Shepherd to play fetch with. She bites down fairly hard on these but they still look new. Unless your dog is actively tearing at it (like tug-of-war), or using it as a chew toy, these should last for any size dog. I would not recommend this for a smaller dog, however, as these are too big for them to play with (I also have a 20 pound Basenji). This is the perfect size for an adult female German Shepherd.

My Belgian malinois/German Shepherd mix Jax got a Kong frisbee from Chewy last year. It quickly became his favorite toy! He loves playing frisbee. He is a chewer and has destroyed many toys with his wayward jaws. While no toy is completely dog proof, as long as it is used under supervision and not used as a chew toy, this will last awhile. Jax destroyed his old one because his father allowed him to chew it. Now with the new one, it is put away right away after a frisbee session!

I purchased this for my 1year old because king has been reliable for me in the past. However, this was not the case for the frisbee. My pup had this one for less than 5 minutes before he had it chewed and ripped. Although I didn’t purchase it as a chew, I would expect it to last more than 5 minutes. Would NOT recommend.

Bought this because Spinner loved someone else's at the park. Theirs had a hole in the center, I thought that was how they came! It took my 7 month old puppy less than a day to reduce this frisbee to a scrap I had to discard. For a puppy with no teeth, or just less of a chewer, it's a good toy. Flies well, bounces a bit, doesn't hurt too badly if your throw is a bit off. For my beast, we're back to the drawing board.

This is my black GSD's favorite toy of all! We play everyday, and he's become an amazing aerial catcher! Good exercise for both of us! They're easy for me to throw, and soft to catch, so they don't hurt his mouth. We have six of them! When it's playtime, Sky walks all around the house and gathers as many as he can find, and takes them outside. His special talent is being able to pick up all six at one time! Love this toy!! The price on Chewy is much better than most pet supply stores too. I highly recommend!

I love this Frisbee! I've tried dozens of other and my toy obsessed blue heeler wrecked them all in a matter of hours sometimes minutes. The kong one has so far lasted a couple months, and is soft enough to play inside. I like the flexability, easy for him to pick up know matter which way it lands. I will buy another one whenever this one wears out. Kong Frisbee is the best

This is a great toy, perfect for my German Shepard. It's a good material for her teeth and easy for her to grab and pick up. The only drawback would have to be that, because it's made of rubber and not plastic, it doesn't fly as far as a normal frisbee. But otherwise, I definitely recommend for any doggos that like to play catch.

This toy is the best! Our Holley Pie tears toys up....even a few kongs. She is proud of her frisbee, it’s light enough for her to carry and small enough that she doesn’t walk on it. She even shared it with her friend.
