My dogs favorite
I have a high energy german shepherd who is obsessed with these kong cozies, but in particular the alligator. We call it his "green baby" and he will not tear them, he has one of every animal and they are almost a security toy for him. Any other toy he destroys, the cozies take way longer for him to tear but the green ones he never tears, they do get worn out and have tiny holes in them over time so I replace them once in a while. For Christmas this year I'm thinking of ordering him 20 alligators in various sizes just to make his whole year.
Different than it used to be!
The Kong Cosie stuffed animals were always my pup's favorites. She loves pulling out the stuffing and getting to the squeakers. But for some reason, all the animals I got on sale this month (on the buy 2 get 1 free offer) have been totally unappealing to her. First, the squeakers are so weak as to be non-existent. Second, they must smell and feel differently, because she literally turns up her nose at them immediately. A wasted $46.
We have two pitbulls, rooster is only 10 mos old and at the peak of his chewing abilities. It’s stitched really well and I know this because he likes to specifically chew at the edges. They also tug of war with it a lot. We usually buy cheap stuff since they tear things up so fast but we got 3 different animals, all Kong brand, and all XL and they’re ALL still around! It was nice to spoil them with something that wasn’t going to just get shredded and thrown away the same day.
My dog immediately zeroed in on the KONG tag that is part of the material. She managed to chew a small piece and from there she kept trying to chew this tag off. I finally had to put the toy up and will probably just throw it away. This toy lasted about 4 hours with supervision.
My dog loved this toy. As soon as the box was opened, she reached in and pulled out. She snuggles it, tugs it, squeaks it and shakes it about. Pulled it right out of all her toys again last night, out of all the choices. Good quality , cute, soft, and durable.
Maddie loves it!
Maddie loves this alligator. Last night she got up in the night and brought it back to her bed for snuggles. She will toss it in the air and play with it for ages, then lay down with it and take a nap.
Gone in 5 minutes
The alligator is cute and I thought it would hold up, but within 5 minutes our PYR had Ali's stomach ripped. open from stem to stern. Very disappointed with this Kong purchase. Waste of money.
My strong-jawed blue heeler really enjoys this tough toy. The squeak has been silenced, but the gator is still getting chewed on and it's good for tug-of-war.
Riggin likes it!!!!
"Soft" toys don't usually survive very long around our guys...16 mo. old, 125 lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback and her partner-in-crime, almost 1 yr. old, 40 lb. Border/Aussie. But, these Kong Cozies make it through several months and many "trips" through the wash cycle! They keep the pups occupied and that makes them worth every penny!!!
Thought it would be better
On 6/16 we bought the alligator, a blue dog and a moose for a new rescue. She is a dachshund so a small dog and is 15 months old. We specifically bought kong toys for her because we thought they would last. In 4 days she had ripped holes in all three toys and they had to be thrown away. We still stongly believe in Kong products but these just were not strong enough for her.
