My small dog [Maltese-Shiztu] had had one of these toys his whole life - well, actually he's had 9 of them, so far, in his 5 yrs. It is his ALL-TIME favorite toy!! It's his playmate when I'm gone, and he sucks on it like it's a pacifier when he goes to bed and, so eventually, the material gives out and a small weak spot becomes a tear that becomes stuffing everywhere. I keep two on hand at all times because he cries when I throw the old one away! Please never stop carrying this toy! He likes stuffed toys, but this one is his most favorite, like a child's favorite blanket.
Our Molly is now 14 months old and seems to be chewing her toys and blankets now, determined to destroy them all! Our Moose, Moosie, as we call him, seems to be holding up quite well. She has only been able to get one ear off of him but nothing else. All the insides are still intact, also! It has proven to be a good buy for us!
We’ve purchased several Kong plush toys. A big reason why is because they’re strong and don’t leave fluff all over our home. Unfortunately, this one started falling apart almost immediately. It’s stuffing was covering our floors in less than 48 hours. Maybe we received a defective one; I don’t know. Kong is a brand we very much trust, generally. I wouldn’t recommend this particular toy though.
This was too cute, and I expected it to be a little tougher since it was a Kong product. My dog never chewed on it, she just carried it around like a baby and licked it every once in a while. I tried to play with it with her, but she would pick it up and take it back to her bed and hold it in her mouth. I don't see how it could have happened, but there's a large hole on the back of it now, so I had to throw it out. No chewing, no tug of war, just holding it in her mouth and occasionally licking it caused it to tear in less than two hours. Too weird.
This is my second time getting this toy and we absolutely love it but it is not cut out for strong chewers. Definitely need to pay good attention to my dog when he has this one or he will have all of the stuffing out in seconds! Great toy though! So cute and soft!
I recently just adopted a 5 year old mini Aussie who didn’t have the best life before me so I was determined to spoil her and give her everything. I was worried she wouldn’t like this toy however I was so wrong! After finding out it squeaks, she has been enthralled with it. She falls asleep with it right next to her now and plays with it all the time! Definitely recommend
My dog walks around with this toy in his mouth. It's his prized possession! He loves to make it squeak, and run after it when thrown. It manages to stay together despite all of his chewing, too. I'm sure its days are numbered, but I'll just get another one, then. Maybe the bigger one.
This is a great toy. I have a large German Shepherd. He loves it. It is over a year old now. He loves stuffed toys but he will make a hole, pull out the stuffing and eat it. Gross. So I have to mend it occasionally. Not a huge deal. I think it might be time for a replacement though.
The challenge is always to find sturdy toys that grunt. Wasn't able to find the grunters this year. These little guys are well made, and pups were mildly amused. Didn't get the response of last Christmas, when they got logs that held baby chipmunks (we called them baby squirrels).
Our dogs have always been able to destroy a plush toy. The big one would kill the squeaky and the little one would un stuff it. We have had three of the plush toys for over a year and they are still intact. My girls love them.
