My recently-adopted dog is 1/4 great pyrenees, 1/4 american staffordshire, 1/4 lab, and 1/4 unknown. She started shedding quite a bit several weeks ago, and I'd bought 4-5 different brushes (etc), some of them costing a bit more than I'd care to think about. Some of them my dog seemed to really shy away from, acting like she was in pain or uncomfortable. I came across the ZoomGroom mentioned somewhere, and for the price, it seemed worth a try. (And the price at Chewy was great!)

All I can say is WOW - the ZoomGroom is a game changer for us. My girl actually seems to enjoy it. She doesn't shy away at all, even after several minutes of brushing. It works well on longer-haired sections of her, broad areas like her back & sides, and tender, hard-to-brush areas like legs and chest. It gets off much more hair than I even thought possible, even when I brush her every day. It is gentle enough that I can let my kids use it on the dog without worrying that she will be uncomfortable.
All in all, the ZoomGroom is awesome and I don't know what we would do without it. It's pretty easy to shake the fur out of it, and I even let my dog play with it when we're done grooming (supervised, so she doesn't rip it apart).
My girl's fur is soft and supple now that we use the ZoomGroom regularly. Seriously, it makes me sad to think about what it would be like if I hadn't stumbled across this gem.… more

my short haired Dachshund mix recently started shedding a TON. I'd been told by her foster mom that she was terrified of brushes so I wasn't sure what I was going to do... someone recommended this and i bought the small/puppy size for my girl and it works soooo well and she's not afraid of it at all! I'm sure it'll be a big help in the bath as well to scrub better and get all the loose hair out much better than when i just scrub her with my hands. Anyway, seriously seriously recommend this brush for short haired dogs, as the soft grippy rubber pulls out loose fur without scaring or hurting your dog!
Wonderful Brush for Short Haired Dog

I have purchased so many expensive brushes for my Boxer over the years and none of them worked out well. Most were wire based and worked on the flat areas but not in the smaller spots were the wire edge would interfere. This brush is amazing. It is soft and flexes so I can brush her entire body and she loves it. It does not collect the hair as you go, so I brush in one direction on the areas that shed the most and collect it as I go. The excess hair is not much of an issue because I brush her more often now.
Great brush, highly recommend!

I have an English Bulldog and a Dogo Argentino/American Bulldog mix and they love this brush! I make sure to use it outside because the hair comes flying off. I use this as their regular brush because I have tried several different kinds and this one works the best. It's nice to use when I bathe them too, it's so versatile! I bought a cat one and the cats love it too. If you have problems with that stinky dog smell, I bought Natural Chemistry Waterless Bath on Chewy and it is amazing. I use that in conjunction with the Zoom Groom.

I have an older dog that gets anxious if I use the wire shedding brushes, so I keep one of these at the back door & one in the barn so I can give her a quick rub down & pull out lots of shedding hair. I think this give her more of a massage than some of the stiffer wire brushes & she will let me use it on her longer.
Small but efficient

Got this brush after a friend recommended these rubber type brushes after not being happy with the other brushes I have tried in the past. This works wonders on my lab/shepherd mix! Axel has a mix of long German shepherd guard hairs and short, coarse lab hair so finding a brush for him was difficult. This is perfect. I have to take him outside since this brush gets all the hair. After only 5 minutes I have three to four handfuls of hair and he actually likes it. The "bristles" are rubber projections and gives him a good massage. You can also use it while bathing to lather the shampoo and get even more hair off.
Oh Yea Right There

Doggy nirvana. My shedder loves his new "massager". Cleaned out quite a bit of loose hair on first try & its not even shedding season. Havent tried it in a bath yet but itll certainly help with the scrubbing. Im hoping itll get him to like baths... yea not holding my breath.
Awesome Brush For Short Hair!

I have a pit pull with short hair and almost nothing helps with brushing his hair because it is so short. This works WONDERS! I can use it dry or when he is getting a bath. My dog actually likes when I use it as well unlike all the other brushes I've tried. I'd recommend this to anyone with a short haired dog.

We LOVE this brush. Have two pointers that actually are lining up to get brushed with this Kong Brush. I can't believe how much hair it removes from my short haired/ medium shed dogs! The only downfall, I like to brush them outside with this. The hair does not stay in the brush so it falls on the ground in a pile. Believe me it is a pile, the rubbery bristles must feel great because the dogs see it and get happy!
Excellent to de-hair a short haired dog!

I am buying my 2nd one of this brush. I have English boxers and they have very fine, short hair. They love this brush, it gets I swear a gallon of hair off my dogs once a week. It is soft so I will run the brush up their backs against the grain to loosen more hair, they love it!
One thing to note, I leave my brush outside in Southwest Florida humid weather. The brush gets black spots on it that over time do not scrub off, hence the reason I am buying a new one today. The brush itself is still like new after 2 years, just nasty looking. The new brush I buy will live in the house.
