Got this brush after a friend recommended these rubber type brushes after not being happy with the other brushes I have tried in the past. This works wonders on my lab/shepherd mix! Axel has a mix of long German shepherd guard hairs and short, coarse lab hair so finding a brush for him was difficult. This is perfect. I have to take him outside since this brush gets all the hair. After only 5 minutes I have three to four handfuls of hair and he actually likes it. The "bristles" are rubber projections and gives him a good massage. You can also use it while bathing to lather the shampoo and get even more hair off.
Excellent to de-hair a short haired dog!

I am buying my 2nd one of this brush. I have English boxers and they have very fine, short hair. They love this brush, it gets I swear a gallon of hair off my dogs once a week. It is soft so I will run the brush up their backs against the grain to loosen more hair, they love it!
One thing to note, I leave my brush outside in Southwest Florida humid weather. The brush gets black spots on it that over time do not scrub off, hence the reason I am buying a new one today. The brush itself is still like new after 2 years, just nasty looking. The new brush I buy will live in the house.
Thick Coats Only

This is great - for dogs with very thick coats. I have two lab-pit mixes. One has a thin pittie coat and the other has a thick lab coat. I knew straight off this wouldn't work for the pit coat, but thought it may help with the lab coat. However, it really doesn't do anything. The reason I bought this was because I saw my mom and my aunt use theirs on their dogs, who shed like crazy, and it works so great!! So, 3 stars for me personally, but 5 stars for someone who has a dog with a very thick coat.
Removes a Ton of Hair

I cannot say enough good things about the Zoom Groom. I have used one on every Labrador Retriever I have owned. This brush is gentle on their coat and skin and the magnetic action of the brush catches and holds the hair that it removes. You simply peel the “hair patty” off when the brush gets full. This is gentle enough to use daily and, unlike popular metal shedding brushes on the market, this doesn’t carry the risk of cutting the dog’s hair or skin.

We LOVE this brush. Have two pointers that actually are lining up to get brushed with this Kong Brush. I can't believe how much hair it removes from my short haired/ medium shed dogs! The only downfall, I like to brush them outside with this. The hair does not stay in the brush so it falls on the ground in a pile. Believe me it is a pile, the rubbery bristles must feel great because the dogs see it and get happy!
Awesome Brush For Short Hair!

I have a pit pull with short hair and almost nothing helps with brushing his hair because it is so short. This works WONDERS! I can use it dry or when he is getting a bath. My dog actually likes when I use it as well unlike all the other brushes I've tried. I'd recommend this to anyone with a short haired dog.
Twinkie vs. ZoomGroom
on Aug 14, 2018
this thing is amazing. my shiba inu pup twinkie is about 20 lbs and the large was a good size for him. he loves this thing and it's wayyy more gentle than the wire brushes so i can use it until i feel like i got enough fur off. i got so much the first time i used this, it was ridiculous. only downside (which i don't mind at all) is that i need to comb through his fur outside since it flies everywhere.
Perfect for short haired dogs!

I am not sure who loves this brush more, me or my dog. It pulls all the hair off while giving your dog a stellar back message. It works awesome on my English mastiff & my friend’s jack russel, basically all shapes & sizes. I have 3 different name-brand dog brushes, this one is hands-down the best. We even use it during bath time & after.
The Best For Short Coats

I have a short-haired GSD who sheds an avalanche of fur twice a year and can shed pretty badly due to allergies. I have a FURminator tool but that isn't nearly as effective as the zoom groom. With this brush, I can just scrub the fur off of her and she loves the feeling! I work in a grooming salon and this is the only brush that is effective for shedding smooth or short coats.
better than i thought

i have seen these before and ive used them at a self serve grooming facility but i have only known to use them during the bath while the dogs are wet. i recently learned you can get a lot more hair out if you use this while the dog is dry. for the price i though it was worth a shot to see if that was true. and it works. i have gotten so much hair out of my dogs quicker than my normal brush. plus its not too stiff so the dogs enjoy it too.
