My pups groomer recommended longs zoom groom when I mentioned that she was shedding profusely. I have used twice during her baths & a couple times as a brush for her. She is a short haired dog and so far I am greatly impressed. And have recommended to friend that has a couple German Shepard s
I have now bought this brush twice, and I don't travel without it. I wouldn't go a weekend without it. The only reason I let it out of my sight is that my mother took it for her dog. It has made such a huge, monumental groundbreaking difference in the amount of hair in my home I would buy it a trillion more times.
This has turned out to be the best brush I've bought for my dog. I keep it in the bag with her dog washing supplies and brush her out during and after her bath. This thing removes so many loose hairs and the dog loves the soft bristles.
My boys love when I use this on them. They are short haired so I will say that it doesn't catch the hair and I have to pick up or vacuum after. My friend has the same one for her cats though and it catches the cat hair easily. I think it's more of a short hair issue than a brush issue so I still give it 5 stars. I didn't think my dogs shed much until I used this! Lots of loose hairs came off
I have a GSD and pit mix, so she has an undercoat that the Furminator helps with, but it doesn't grab the sleek outer coat hairs. This Kong brush has a rubbery texture that grabs the longer hairs really well, kind of like a curry comb. It also worked great on a friend's dog I tried it on, a hound/pit mix with a single slick coat that is impossible to get any fur off of otherwise. It also feels like you're just petting the dog, so easier for those dogs that object to the sound/sensation of a regular brush. Will be trying it in the bath next!
This brush definitely pulls a ton of hair out of the dog, so it does what it's supposed to do. My only concern is that the rubber brush nubs we're worn down and peeeling after just one brushing, so I don't know how long it will last. Probably would be better to just buy a horse brush in this style at the feed store.
My dog thinks this is a massage, not a brush! Bonus is it takes off his shedding hair on his legs where he hates being brushed. Gets less hair than a shedding blade but he doesn’t like that on his legs either. Glad I ordered it. Haven’t tried it in the bath yet but I will.
I actually use this on my Thoroughbred horse because he has super sensitive skin. He really enjoys this brush! Be sure to get the larger size if for equines.
My Boston mix sat very still, obviously enjoyed the massage from this. It did trap some loose hair and was very easy to clean afterwards.
Got this brush to hopefully help my dog enjoy the brushing experience with a softer brush. Unfortunately the brush did not brush all that well. Though it did get a little hair, there's just no comparing it to other brushes. My dog did love turning it into a dog toy, until he started chewing off each of the points...
