Not great for toy breed puppies
By EbThen on Apr 2, 2021
My very tiny puppy was under four pounds when I tried to use the puppy-size ZoomGroom to get the shed hairs out of her coat. It wasn't very comfortable to hold in my hands (also small) and the rubber cone "bristles" were far too large for my puppy's tiny body. My puppy also is used to KONG material in her chewing toys, which didn't make it very easy to get her to understand this brush wasn't a chew toy. Judging by how popular this style of curry brush is, it probably works just fine if you have larger hands or a larger dog. We had to look elsewhere to find something that works for us.

It's a miracle!
By PittyMom2 on Mar 21, 2021
Recently adopted a very short haired dog. Having had English Setters my entire adult life, I had no idea the best way to groom my dog. She sheds just as much as a long haired dog but the brushes I had didn't seem to work. Another volunteer at the animal shelter I volunteer at recommended this for pitties. Automatically had to get one to try. The dog and I fell in love with it. She is a nervous thing and panics about a lot of stuff. Started brushing her and she sat down and enjoyed herself. Brush is completely rubber so I don't have to worry about using too much presure. You wouldn't believe the hair that comes out. Brush also helps spread the oils evenly though so helps with her dry skin. I have also heard that this brush does work well on the longer haired breeds as well. I love it so much I plan on buying a second one for the animal shelter to use. Buy it! It's worth every penny. … more

Good multi use tool
By GoldenMom on Apr 9, 2021
I have gone through a couple of these brushes for use on my Golden. The “teeth” do wear down. I use it to help lather him up when bathing and also to help remove the outer coat when grooming. My guy loves the massage when I use it. I find that it also helps remove dirt between baths. When I started ordering them from Chewy it was because they were half the price of the local pet stores. Not any more. Now they are just about equal in price. Why?

I wish I bought this sooner!
By Samantha on Apr 6, 2021
I absolutely LOVE this product! I wish I would have bought it sooner for my 70lb pittie/boxer/bulldog mix. Her coat is very short and the brush I use for my other dog never seemed to get the fur off of her, even though I knew she was shedding. She LOVES being brushed with this! She gets excited when she sees it and the amount of fur that comes out is incredible. Worth every single penny!

Gets the hair loose but does not collect it
By HarpersMom on Mar 28, 2021
This brush is gentle on my dog's skin and does a great job of getting the hair loose, but does not collect the hair on the brush well, so it can fly everywhere if you're not careful. I have to run my hand under it to collect the fur it gets loose. For the price I'd say it's still pretty good once you get the hang of it.

am i using it right?
By daikoncorgi on Apr 15, 2021
not sure if there is a technique to using it because when i brush my corgi puppy, the hair gets off him but it doesnt exactly stay on the brush, the hair just ends up in the air or flies onto my carpet. 4 star because it's soft and he lets me brush him

Not great for short coats
By hannah on Feb 20, 2021
The brush is not good for short coats. My pup is a short coat, with flat and straight fur. When we brush her, instead of the hair coming out onto the brush it just sits on top of her fur. We have to pat out the fur using our hands. The brush is also hard to hold, it does not have a handle so it’s hard to comfortably brush your pet. The reason i’m giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because my dog doesn’t dislike the brush, she doesn’t hate getting groomed by it which is always a bonus.

Exactly what we were looking for
By Gaby on Mar 4, 2021
There is no words to say how much I love this brush. It’s the only brush my dog won’t fight. And it’s been the best at getting all her hair. She has a short coat and every time it manages to get all. It has saved our furniture! A little note that the hair doesn’t really catch it the brush. I typically have to run my hand across her back and all the loose hair just balls up into my hand.

Only brush my dog liked! Very effective!
By MarleyBrown on Feb 1, 2021
At our locally owned pet store, I saw this brush and was intrigued. I ride horses, and it looks similar to a rubber curry. I figured it would be gentle on Speedy's coat (I think he's a Jack Russel Mix, and he has a slight undercoat) and he would actually enjoy it, instead of running away and trying to attack it as he does with more traditional brushes. He loved it! I tried it out in the store so I wouldn't waste $9, and he could not get enough of it! I bought it and immediately took him outside for a grooming session. I will say that the brush doesn't collect all of the hair, but it's simply not designed for that. So as with any grooming activity, it should be done outside. He didn't want me to stop brushing him, and he got the zoomies because the massage-like brushing made him feel so good! It is especially important in the winter because their skin gets drier and they can't have baths (I bathe him outside, and it's too cold) so this really gets the oils going. I can't say it's made his coat shinier alone because I also have him on a fish oil supplement, but it is good for his coat and many other reviews say their dog's coat looked tremendously healthier. … more

Short hair dogs
By KoaAndFriedasMom on Feb 11, 2021
I have 2 bully breed dogs and they have short hair. I don't ever brush them but they shed a lot. I bought this brush and it's amazing. I sit outside and brush them and tons of hair comes out. They love when I brush them with this. It's more of a de-shedder than a brush but I like it. I have yet to use it during bath time but I'm looking forward to it. Pic of my short haired girls.
