This is great - for dogs with very thick coats. I have two lab-pit mixes. One has a thin pittie coat and the other has a thick lab coat. I knew straight off this wouldn't work for the pit coat, but thought it may help with the lab coat. However, it really doesn't do anything. The reason I bought this was because I saw my mom and my aunt use theirs on their dogs, who shed like crazy, and it works so great!! So, 3 stars for me personally, but 5 stars for someone who has a dog with a very thick coat.
The BEST for shedding!

My Rottweiler started shedding really bad - this brush quickly & easily brushed off SO much shed hair! It doesn’t snag on his hair or tug out hair that isn’t ready, and he really seems to enjoy it. I can pet him again without getting a handful of shed hair! This brush is amazing and I highly recommend it to anyone with a short haired shedder (I do not have a long haired dog so I can’t say how well it would work)
I love this thing!

A groomer friend recommended this product and it’s now the only thing I use on my dog. She’s a short hair shepherd/hound mix and sheds like CRAZY so I usually have to brush her outside. The second she sees me grab it, she makes a run for the door. She loves getting brushed with the ZoomGroom. Never has she sat still with any of the previous items I’ve used. After a few seconds, she will lay down and actually close her eyes, like she’s getting a massage. I highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

My dog has allergies and the vet suggested I bathe her more often so as to reduce the bacteria that tends to collect in the skin. These brushes (I use two, one in each hand) are GREAT! Their large rubber "nipples" massage the soap through her fur to her skin and when it's time to rinse, they help move the soap out. I'd give this item a score of 10 except that I feel the size is wrong. I'm a woman with medium-sized hands and find these brushes to be a little too small.
Just what we were looking for!

Our Malinois has always given us a difficult time when it comes to grooming. He does not like metal tools across his skin. Previously, we have purchased Furminators, rakes, and have used regular human brushes. The Zoom Groom has been the only item, gentle and effective enough, to remove most of his loose hair without having to fight with him and risk the possibility of getting bitten. He loves it. He knows where I keep it and gets excited about grooming time. He will nudge his head under my hand and will beg for more. This product is extremely safe and effective, with zero chance of causing harm to the skin of your pet. Perfect for dogs with sensitive skin issues or for kids to use.
Twinkie vs. ZoomGroom
on Aug 14, 2018
this thing is amazing. my shiba inu pup twinkie is about 20 lbs and the large was a good size for him. he loves this thing and it's wayyy more gentle than the wire brushes so i can use it until i feel like i got enough fur off. i got so much the first time i used this, it was ridiculous. only downside (which i don't mind at all) is that i need to comb through his fur outside since it flies everywhere.

Overall I was really pleased with this brush. I have two longhaired miniature dachshunds and this product does at great job removing loose hair from them both. It’s one of the only brushes that they seem to enjoy. I feel like it’s gentler than a furminator (which works really well, but my dogs are not fans). After having many people recommend this brush to me, I’m happy that I finally purchased it!
The Best For Short Coats

I have a short-haired GSD who sheds an avalanche of fur twice a year and can shed pretty badly due to allergies. I have a FURminator tool but that isn't nearly as effective as the zoom groom. With this brush, I can just scrub the fur off of her and she loves the feeling! I work in a grooming salon and this is the only brush that is effective for shedding smooth or short coats.
Perfect for short haired dogs!

I own a cattle dog mix whose hairs are about 2inches long and she sheds A LOT, especially during the summer. I found this brush on an Instagram user's page curious what helped take excess hair off their short haired dog as I've never seen any brush that did that and they immediately pointed me toward Zoom Groom and told me what a difference it made while grooming their crew! So far I've only tried it outside the bath (use it outdoors guys, your house will be hairy if you don't) and I'm honestly blown away at how well it works and have already recommended it to a few friends of mine! Plus, since my girl has short hair, I've never brushed her before trying this brush and she didn't even bat an I own a cattle dog mix whose hairs are about 2inches long and she sheds A LOT, especially during the summer. Gets undercoat, but seems to go too deep and make dog jump
on Jun 7, 2018
My sister recommended. It's a good brush, but I was surprised when we were dry brushing that it must go too deep because our dog jumped and kind of growled (and she never ever growls). This has happened more than once even when we paid close attention to brush lightly after the first time. Tried it in the bath, too; same problem, but worse. We still use, just very, very carefully. Our dog is a medium-sized mixed-breed retriever; not short fur, but also not super long.
