I have a pointer and a chihuahua/pug mix. Their fur, especially the pointers, is all over my house. In every piece of clothing, just all over. And my pointer has shorter hair, so her hair is prickly, and it pokes you when it gets stuck in your clothes. Her hair is so little to the point where not even a lint roller is able to get it all out. Anyways, I have tried many different types, brands, and materials of things to help with their shedding/de shedding. Nothing really ever worked. Yes they would get some hairs out, but not nearly enough. This brush was recommended by my dogs trainer. My pointer was abused before we got her, she is scared of any and every thing. This brush is the only thing she will let me do without running to the corner or shaking. It gets a handful of hair out in barely 2 minutes!! This brush is beyond magical. Whoever created this definitely needs a raise!! It’s amazing! Its gentle, and can be used in a bath too. If there was a higher rate than 10, id put it. The picture I put was only 2 minutes of brushing.
I’ve tried several deshedding tools for a short furred dog, and while they work, none of them gave the results I wanted or expected. I purchased the zoom groom and the results are exactly what I wanted. It’s a great massage tool when bathing and soaping my dog. My dog loves it! I love the results !
Love love love this brush. I was recommended by someone on facebook. I got it today and am just amazed how much I am getting off my Black Mouth Cur. All the store bought brushes wasnt doing anything and it just was a nuisance. This brush is literally pulling all the loose hair out and he loves me brushing him with it. He wanted me to keep going when I stopped. I recommend getting this brush!
I have multiple Dalmatians, they have very short coats. This brush is perfect for them. I couldn’t believe how much fur came off in just one sweep! It’s gentle on their skin and makes removing loose fur very easy! I would definitely recommend for short, single coated dogs.
I could not believe that this little brush without bristles would work so well. My little pup has major shedding, especially when transitioning to warmer weather. Misery for me, the furniture, my car, and my black wardrobe. So much hair gathered from a few short minutes of brushing, I couldn’t believe it. Much more than the furminator and my dog enjoyed it so much more. He is not quite two, so I am glad I found this now.
Works great, dog loves it
This brush is great! Gets a lot of the shedding cleaned up and my dog acts like it’s a massage. Only reason it doesn’t have 5 stars is because it’s a bit difficult to get the fur out of the brush.
My dog loves it!
Definitely the most effective brush we've tried. We have have a staffy/pit/bulldog something or another lol. Her hair is short and her skin is very sensitive. She loves it so much she'll roll on her belly
Best Brush Ever
I have an American PitBull whose hair is obviously very short. For the first year I had him I struggled finding him a brush because all I was ever recommended was the Furminator. That literally did nothing for him and I felt like it was pulling his hair. So, I did some more digging on the internet and I came across a video about this brush. I liked what I saw and decided to give it a go. NEVER IN MY LIFE did I ever think that much hair was going to come off his body. Otis absolutely loves to be brushed and unfortunately he had destroyed his old one because he thought it was a toy, but I just ordered another one. I also use it when bathing him to really lather the soap on him.
One of a Kind
I'm not much on leaving reviews, but I felt someone else needed to hear about this. I have a mixed breed pup with a -peculiar- coat type. I have tried everything from slicker-style brushes, to bristles brushes, and I even own the Furminator, but nothing could pick up the hair that I could easily pull out with my fingers. I waited wayy too long to try this out because I had lost all hope for anything working, but it really does! Granted, I'm still a huge fan of the furminator and slicker brushes, just for other coat types, but if you have a dog with stubborn loose hairs that will NOT budge, then this works like a magnet and pulls them loose. My second favorite aspect of this brush is that it is very gentle on the skin, so if your dog is nervous or jumpy (like mine) or has skin sensitivities then this is perfect! She literally did not want me to stop! I bought the "large size" for my 30 lb pupper (see pics for scale)
Finally Something Works
After trying 6+ products, I finally found something that works for my dogs. I paired it with a bristle brush, to clean off the loose hair, but this works better than anything else I've tried for my pitbulls. If I didn't read the package, I would have just tried brushing my dogs with straight strokes, but the package said to use small circles. After about 5 minutes on each dog (I have 2), I had a golfball sized hairball. That doesn't sound like much to some, but for short-haired dogs, that is a lot. My complaints are that 1) when brushing, hair just goes flying through the air, 2) I have to use a second brush to wipe off the loose hair, 3) it is hard to wipe off the hair rinsing it off. I will most likely use it more outside, when the weather warms up, to avoid having the hair go everywhere. Rinsing off the brush was just something that was inconvenient, because I wasn't prepared for it. It works really well on my dogs' coats though, when nothing else worked.
