  • Absolutely a need.

    By on

My dog is a 3 year old pitbull who never out grew his puppy chewing. He would shred EVERYTHING. Even those "power chewer" toys would only last two days, three if I take it away when he pulls it apart. So this black Kong ball I bought was awesome. I can leave it with him when I go to work, even put peanut butter in it with kibble and he will LAY DOWN AND PLAY! He's always rambunctious so this toy gives me a half hour of sanity when I just want to watch TV. And it's great for throwing outside because it's a good weight and bounces really well. Over all, great toy.

  • Durable and Solid

    By on

This toy isn't my dog's favorite, but I gave it 5 stars because this thing is crazy durable. It is solid with no give when chewed, which is probably why my dog doesn't care for it. It's heavy, so be careful when throwing it. It would shatter a window, and cause injury to your pupper if they tend to get in the way when it's thrown. It has a good bounce for being so robust!

  • American pitbull

My 60lb female pitbull ripped this ball up in less than 1 day. I have spent allot of $ on Kong products over the years & they never last more than a couple of days. I know they have a replacement warranty but what good is that if it only lasts 1 day. The only toys that last a while are gonuts rings & cow leg bones.

  • Extreme and somewhat indestructable

    By on

This toy works well for inserting a treat and short-term play, but for our 49-pound pitbull it is not too extreme. She has been chipping away at it after getting the treat out. For most larger/active dogs this would be an excellent choice, but for ours we are still searching for something better...

  • Super Durable

    By on

I bought this as a gift for a granddog who loves to play ball, but always ends up chewing the balls up. I wasn't sure exactly which size to get since the larger one is a bit larger than a tennis ball and the smaller one is somewhat smaller than a tennis ball. I ended up buying the larger one, worrying that the smaller one would be a choking hazard. Just a note - this thing is VERY heavy so be careful where you throw it if you are using it to play catch. Anyway, the dog absolutely loves it , but cannot tear a hole in it or even leave teeth marks in it, so it is exactly what I was looking for.

  • The most durable ball I've come across

    By on

I'm not saying we've tried them all but with having 9 dogs and litters of puppies, we definitely test the market. The black kong ball is the most durable one we've owned. Not all the dogs are as interested in it as some of the softer balls (which is why I gave it a 4) but that's probably because they can't destroy it! I get size small and it fits in their mouths great. I'm sure we still have the first one we bought, it has not been destroyed. But rather lost under the bed with many other toys!

I have a dachshund that can destroy anything in 2.0 seconds this ball is the best he is still engaged an loving it! It gives me peace of mind knowing that he's not going to choke. I have both small an large one for my great Dane too she loves it!

  • She loves it

    By on

this is a good ball but first of all it is hard to find in the back yard or when you are playing in the park. The ball survived our German Shepherd but I would not really call it extreme ball as that name to me means it can't be destroyed and our dog is pretty close to that already.

  • Very durable

    By on

Our pitbull pup loves to chew on things and this ball is SO durable. She can't chew through it. She goes crazy for any kind of ball, so we had tennis balls for her for awhile but she was ripping all of the fabric off of them and eating it. We have no problems anymore with our amazing Kong Ball. It is a bit heavy, but has an awesome bounce and I think any dog would go crazy for one of these.

  • Way Too Heavy

    By on

I wanted a very durable ball for my puppy as he can destroy just about anything in a very short span of time. This fit that bill but it is so heavy, we can't play with it in the house at all. We will have to wait until we have a backyard for him to run in to use this.
