Did not last
By Nicole on Dec 5, 2019
I’m very disappointed because I was hoping the extreme Kong would be durable. I previously had a puppy Kong for my 5lb Yorkie, but he bit little pieces off. Then I got an adult one, which he also bit pieces off. I just received the extreme because it supposed to be the strongest and it didn’t last 5 min. He is tiny and I thought these were meant to be chewed! He loves this toy but now I can’t give it to him in case he eats pieces of rubber.

Lasted almost 2 years
By vaustin on Nov 29, 2019
I hope the quality of this Kong is as good as my dog's last large kong which took much longer, almost 2 years, to destroy than some previous smaller ones. I REALLY wish they offered other colors. This black one "disappears" on my area rug, not easy to see it, so another lighter color would help me from accidentally stepping on it and risking a fall with my 76-year old body!

Holding Up to Aggressive Chewer
By Milligal on Nov 5, 2019
We rescued our border collie/lab back in January and she came to us with some anxiety issues, including licking her tummy until it was raw and aggressively chewing on anything she was left alone with, including sandals, rugs, towels, and her beds. I got the KONG Extreme for her and fill it with a few treats or peanut butter and her kibble when we have to leave her alone in her kennel, which keeps her busy for hours. She'll chew on it when there's nothing in it too. It seems to really help her deal with being left alone. It's super durable and holding up well. Will probably get another one!

GREAT for heavy chewers!
By Annie on Nov 22, 2019
My Pitties chew through EVERY toy within 20 minutes, EXCEPT this one! I've bought 3 so far and all have held up to ongoing, consistent chewing and gnawing. I've had one for almost 6 months and it's just now starting to show a few breaks in the edges of the openings. Great for indoor and outdoor play. I also add peanut butter to keep them occupied.

it’s a bit small for a medium
By asiachan23 on Nov 11, 2019
Now I have a medium sized German Shepard pup. So I got the med sized kong. But that looks small. If that’s medium I’m scared to see a small. But the good part is she is loving it, she is trying to rip it apart but can’t. At least for now. The size is the only problem I really have. Other than that it’s a 5/5.

He loves it!
By Stephw on Nov 13, 2019
I got this for my brother in laws retriever that we keep during the day. He has a rope toy, but I was worried he would keep pulling pieces of rope off and swallowing them. He's an aggressive chewer so at the suggestion of a vet, I got him this. He likes to chase it through the house and sometimes I hear the squeak of him trying to chew it.

Small dog owner
By ChihuahuaMom2 on Oct 5, 2019
You need to soze approtiately for your dog! This is essential and always supervise. I have 2 power chewers. They're small dogs 7lbs and 15lbs. My 7lber is destroyer of all toy creatures. However hes has put tooth holes in his kong but never enough to rip out a chunk. I do use these for enrichment play. So i fill them with dog safe goodies or their food. I usually freeze them since i live in fl. I clean them with a toothbrush and steamin hot water. They do hold up really well and i have a large bone and the ball from kong. I have no complaints.

Super-chewer? It's an option
By Emilie on Oct 24, 2019
I have, in my family, a little super-chewer Maltese. He destroys every toy. He is starting to destroy this one, but it's taking him longer than usual, so I guess that's worth a recommendation. This Kong is not indestructible by a long shot (recap: currently being taken apart by... a Maltese), but it's better than most. Better than the standard Kong for sure.

Stinky and Sticky
By Kaye on Oct 10, 2019
I have had the regular red ones but decided to try the "Extreme" one since my 7 yr. old new foster Lab is a pretty good chewer. He hasn't laid a tooth or lip on it but will turn his head away when presented to him. It has a bad oder even after washing it. It also has a sticky feel to it if held in your hand for a while. It's on the coffee table as I write this and I can smell it from there. Don't know if it is the way all of the "Extreme" ones smell or just this one but neither of us can stand the oder.

Great toy!
By Megan on Dec 2, 2019
I have had this toy for years and years and my big chewers just now got through the top piece. We bought another one because it's the only toy we found that they can't destriy in minutes!
