Dogs Need to Play
A dog's physical and mental development are influenced by a healthy, instinctual need to play. Built for durability, KONG dog toys encourage play and offer enrichment, meeting this natural need to play.
KONG encourages dogs to focus energy on healthy engagement, helping prevent unwanted behavior by providing a mentally stimulating, physical challenge that keeps dogs occupied and mentally challenged.
Did you know that anything that is safe for a dog to eat is safe to stuff into a KONG? Here's how:
Stuff: Stuff loosely for beginners or tighter for more advanced users (w/KONG Snacks or your dog's favorite kibble).
Entice: Use a tasty appetizer such as KONG Easy Treat or peanut butter.
Enrich: A stuffed KONG offers mental and physical enrichment.
Extend: Want to extend playtime? Freeze for a longer-lasting challenge.

My 6 month pit bull pup is an avid chewer and if not given a variety of chew toys can find things he shouldn’t be chewing on. So to keep him out of trouble and keep him busy I got him the Large Kong extreme toy. Since it’s so big I don’t fill it all the way with the Kong fillings in a can and it still keeps him busy but love the Kong treats you shove into them. It kept him entertained for over 30 min and even after walking away from it to try out some other new toys he kept going back to this. It seems pretty much indestructible. He loves it which makes me love it and very happy with my purchase.

The Kong is a great way to distract/occupy your dog so you can "escape" or get things done without being followed all over the house. We recently rescued three-year-old Missy and she has had no skills training dogs normally get when purchased as puppies. She can get the peanut butter/treats out of the top part of the Kong but hasn't figured out how to get the remainder out of the bottom. If I had it to do over, I would have ordered the puppy size for this inexperienced dog. My only complaint is it is difficult to thoroughly clean the Kong and get all the grooves free of left over peanut butter/treats.
Great Dog Toy

My Pit rescue pup loves this toy and it keeps her pretty busy whenever I need her out from under my feet. I personally fill it with peanut butter and Stella & Chewy's Freeze-Dried Dog Treats, they fit perfectly and are small enough she can get them out without too much problem unlike many of her other treats. She honestly doesn't chew as much as I expected her to, it might be slightly too big for a medium sized dog though. Overall, great product and I would definitely recommend it!

My 4-legged loved one is a power chewer and the black kong is more durable than the red one. You should make sure your 4-legged family member plays with it on a surface (i.e. towel, sheet. outside...if it is nice out) that can be cleaned easy because it does leave a black residue. I was able to remove it from my carpet, but it is easier to just throw a towel in the wash. Remember...the best exercise your dog really needs it to be walked/run. A toy should be used as an extra treat, not as a replacement for what they deserve (good exercise).
This thing is huge!!

My chocolate lab loves it! He's 85lb and can barely fit in his mouth lol. This would be a perfect size for someone who has a great Dane and such size. I usually fill it up with carrots, other veggies and seal it up with peanut butter and then freeze it overnight to give it to him while I'm at worm. Works wonderfully! My lab is a powerful chewer but doesn't really tear up toys so I can't say it's perfect for powerful chewers but it hasn't broke yet
On the small side.

My Puppy dog loves Kongs I am guessing her original one is a large now that I've seen the medium. She likes her new Kong but I don't let her play with it much because it's a little small. She is about 20lbs but is a Pomsky so the whole toy can fit in her mouth. Medium is too small. I plan on buying her a bigger one in the future when I have money for it. I'm starting to think these kind of things need to be picked out in person and then ordered.

My dog loves chewing on it. It isn't indestructible though and I wish KONG had heavier duty products. I wouldn't consider my dog a crazy chewer but he is a Pittie and he is a puppy so he loves chewing on these rubbery toys...however I worry about the little pieces he manages to pull off of them if the materials are safe. I find myself taking it away from him and making him take a break or switch to a bone so he doesn't destroy his rubbery chew toys.
Crazy Heavy chewing Yorkie
on Dec 4, 2017
I have a 10lb insanely
Heavy chewer. He demolishes toys in 30 minutes and now has a toy of of Rags, yes RAGS lol. I no longer spend money in toys because he seems to kill every single one. He is not allowed to play with his 2lb brothers toys either because he will kill those as well. This KONG has held up WELL! He carries it around even when it has NO SNACKS! He loves it so much I bought him the bone and tire for christmas! FINALLY! Something he hasn’t ruined.
Great toy for the mouthy bunch

This is a great option for chewing with my larger dogs and stimulates their minds when treats and kibble are added. I place kibble inside and freeze a plug of pumpkin over the opening which prolongs the chewing fun for them. Would highly recommend Kong toys as one of my dogs can destroy about anything else she gets her mouth on. I have gone through lots of toys and this one stands up to her just fine. Shipping was great and fast.
Fabulous treat holder
on Nov 15, 2017
Our dogs don't precisely play with these, so I don't call them a "toy." But when they need a good-night or good-bye treat, this works very well for one of our dogs to hold the treat. (The other dog finds this shape too frustrating, and gets a Kong Traxx instead, which I also recommend.) I put bits of cheese in first, to hold the far end, and then fill the Kong with CANNED TRIPE (a very nutritious & tasty-for-dogs filler). She gets it all. Unfortunately, even the Extreme (black) Kong won't last forever when our determined chewer starts chomping! Still, they last us for years, and we're quite satisfied. The ones we just ordered are replacements.
