Help your cat or dog recover peacefully—no shame required—with the KONG EZ Soft Collar. Recovery can be difficult, but you can make it comfortable for your pet with the KONG EZ Soft Collar.

Neck: Measure the broadest part of the neck, leaving room for two fingers.
If your pet falls somewhere between two sizes, we advise ordering the larger of the two.
I bought this for my small cat who was going to need to wear one for two weeks post-surgery. While she navigated around ok in the plastic, the noise scared the other cats, and her face was always wet from it trapping water.
She is much happier in this one - no noise, and while she still gets the collar wet when drinking water, it dries quickly, so her face stays dry. The soft collar is perfect, since she has a healing incision on her neck. It hasn't been irritated at all.
Even the XS is too big for kittens!
on Jul 14, 2020
We bought these for our kittens for after their neuter surgery, but they were WAY too big for them. The neck holes were fine, but the cones were too long and too heavy for 10-week-old kittens. The cone itself is very sturdy and seems like good quality. We ended up cutting holes in paper plates and using them as cones - they worked perfectly!
Good for a chronic overgroomer
on Jun 11, 2020
My 18 year old cat has been overgrooming her sore joints and the reusable cone I had from vet was too large/heavy. This has been a good middle ground. She can't reach her joints to groom when I'm not watching and it's flexible enough that she can lay comfortably. Only downside is that it is not a smooth circle after being packed folded up. If I don't position it just right, it runs on her ears so sometimes it's uncomfortable for her. I have hand washed in the sink and dried in sunlight easily, as she sometimes gets her wet food smashed all over it. Very pleased overall that this is helping to curb her bad habit when joints are bothering her.
Exactly what I needed for my cat
on Jun 16, 2020
This is exactly what I need for my cat. She is 9 lbs and unfortunately has allergies that flare up on a somewhat regular basis. She wears the collar to prevent her from scratching up her face and chin while her meds take effect. The collar from the vet was destroyed in a matter of days. This collar was the right size for my girl and has an adjustable drawstring for the neck.
Bodie loved it!

Our Shih Tzu had to have she surgery and was sent home with a hard collar which he hated. We found this one at Chewy and tried it. Well he loves it, we take it off when he eats or goes out to the bathroom all we have to do is show the collar to him and he comes running to get it back on. This was a great purchase and we are going to buy another to keep on hand.
Better than hard plastic
on May 8, 2020
This cone is soft and enables my dog to lie down and sleep with it. Also the minute I put it on, he knows he can't lick his paw (he's 16 years old!) and lies down and relaxes.
The only thing is that after time, it does lose it's shape (this is my second soft cone) as he sleeps or rolls around with it! Other than that - it's great and I would buy it again.

I use this on a 16-lb Westie terrier. I don't know if he can reach is front paw to lick, but he doesn't so that's good. It does not hold its shape after being folded up to be put away but it still works fine. Just position the folds the best way possible for your dog. It's nicer and possibly lighter than the clumsy plastic ones.

I have an 11 pound dog. He could still lick his incision with this on. Wanted to love it. But didn’t work for us.

I have a little 3 lb Yorkie and she had leg surgery and when the bandages were taken off she constantly licked her wound. One night she licked it so much she took our 3 stitches. I tried to find a collar that would fit her and found this collar. It fits her perfectly and it is soft not like the real hard collars. She doesn't like it but it does work and she won't get to her stitches when the next leg get surgery done. Thank you Kong.
Chewy is the only place I found this collar. They are the best place on the web to order from. Great service.
Only one cat would tolerate
on Mar 16, 2020
My cat had his leg amputated. The vet tried to send him home with a clear plastic collar that he would not tolerate. I had to leave him there until I could get this collar. I could not find it locally. The Chewy rep told me that it would not be delivered until a Wednesday but I was so pleased when it arrived on a Monday, saving me the cost of boarding him for another 2 days! The vet had used this type when my cat was there but did not have one that I could buy or borrow.
