Only Godzilla!
By Hobbes on Feb 24, 2021
I have held off on getting my almost 2 year old Bouvier plushy-to- sturdy toys because he had systematically destroyed everything we ever bought. In the last few months we noticed a kind of quiet reserve about him. A maturity. He received a small plush heart for Valentine’s Day, and tossed it around with joy, then left it. Same thing the next day. I whipped out the iPad and ordered three toys for him. I kept in mind that there was always the possibility that old habits might creep back in. When he got them he stood up, ripped off his dog suit, and a gigantic ruthless monster that had been living inside of it shredded them with glee.

Awesome dog toy even for a shredder
By Harlee on Feb 27, 2021
My master buys me all the Floppy Knot dog toys because they are the few toys that my puppy hound teeth cannot completely destroy in five seconds. I love this hippo, so colorful, but my favorite is foxy, I have had two of those and they were soooo fun. Because I am a hound my master hangs them in a tree and I enjoy trying to get them out (I usually do very easily). I know they will buy me more because they are fun to play toss and fetch plus they are durable. Cannot wait till the new Chewy box arrives. Ruff.

The flying cow
By Nisey on Feb 10, 2021
I purchased this toy for our 10 month old lab. She loves it!! We actually call it the flying cow even though it says it's a hippo. We throw it in the the house for her to retrieve in the house. It is NOT meant to be a chew toy - it is made to be a tough playing toy. She can bite it and shake it and we can tug it gently with her, but we don't leave it out for her to chew as we know she's a lab and will chew it up in seconds! When used for it's intent and under observation, it is a really fun toy.

Here today, gone tomorrow
By FreyaSkullz on Feb 23, 2021
Let me be clear about one thing in particular: my dog loved this toy. Absolutely adored it. Well, folks, the ears wear the first things she took. It was a steep downhill from there as the body of this poor hippo was ravaged. If your dog goes HAM for plush toys, this hippo may be a temporary resident in your home.

Lasted 2 months
By Swee94 on Feb 6, 2021
We have a 1 year old Boxer and toys typically don’t last with him so we weren’t expecting it to last too long but it held up pretty well for a couple months. Our dog loved it and would take it everywhere! It really was his best friend so we’ll be getting him a replacement of course but it’s definitely not something super durable.

Tough, but not tough enough
By RagnarsMom on Feb 1, 2021
I bought this toy following a recommendation for a tough toy for my chewer who loves to have "babies". Most toys he shreds in minutes. This one was a little tougher for him to get through, but before the end of hour 1 he had most of the material stripped off. The head remains in tact and he LOVES playing with the rope guts, so it's a win overall, but not something I can leave him alone with.

Hours of entertainment
By Corey on Jan 6, 2021
I love to play with these, they last and last. The rope arms and legs are perfect for tug-of-war with my humans. I know they are supposed to supervise me while I am playing with this little critter, but they can’t watch me all the time! Then, when they get distracted, I work on the soft bits. First I chew off the little ears. Next, the nose. This lets stuffing out, and if I shake the little critter, white fluff goes everywhere. It takes me days to completely disassemble and chew up. Even when the cloth is gone, the rope lasts forever! Mom says it was way less expensive at Chewy than at those big stores where I can walk around inside, so she bought me two! Floppy knots, no head
By Texasvic on Jan 26, 2021
We had one of these for years, the exact same hippo in fact. It finally got loved so much that it was pretty frazzled so we ordered another one. EXACTLY LIKE THE OLD ONE. except she had the thing's head off in a day, and within a week it is in worse shape than the old one. I don't understand how one could be so tough, and the next one so easy to tear apart. I'm not sure I'd buy another, even if it was a good price.

Could be more sturdy
By Pittiepuppymama on Feb 27, 2021
My pup loves this toy but it's not as durable as one might hope. Just after a day of play there were strings coming out, and even more have started emerging with time. Wish it were a little better made, like other Kong stuffed animals I've bought her.

Tough enough?
By chessie5640 on Jan 27, 2021
I ordered this and the Fox toy based on the search indestructible chew toys for dogs. I have a 35 lb Aussilier who does love to chew! This however was his personal best. In under 10 minutes he had the entire head off and stuffing covered the carpet. While I know he is proud of this accomplishment, I feel like I could have been left at the starting gate with these toys.
