  • Wanted this to be great...

    By on

My dog was interested and enjoyed the test of getting to the treat inside. Unfortunately as a seven month old lab, she is a bigger chewer, and managed to eat the tunnel neck part of this toy off. The rest of the toy is functioning but we really have to watch her that she didn't eat the rest of the toy. Our 13.5yr old lab enjoys the challenge, so maybe it's a toy for less aggressive chewers.

  • Not as "genius" as the other shape.

    By on

After having purchased another size/shape of the KONG "genius" toys, I was excited to give our dogs another option. Sadly, these lasted about 30 seconds before our dogs were able to chew the entire tops off. We LOVE the KONG line of products and the other "genius" shape/size in pink has become our pups go to toy for busy time but these just absolutely did not hold up and I wouldn't and couldn't recommend them for anyone whose dogs are genuine chewers. They just aren't built to last.

  • Not Durable

    By on

My 18lb schnauzer chewed the top off of this toy within 60 seconds of me giving it to her. This is the second Kong toy that she's obliterated in under 5 minutes. I would not recommend this toy to families with determined dogs.

  • Guess my dog's a Genius

    By on

Thought this toy would be good for stimulation and lasting interest. Guess my dog didn't want to deal with learning how to get treats out of the large Genius Leo Dog Toy. She chewed the top off and got all the treats out! This was a huge waste of my money. I had high hopes for it.

  • Destroyed in short order

    By on

Our mini golden doodle (just under 25 pounds) is not an especially aggressive or destructive chewer, but she had chewed chunks off of this in about 20 minutes.

  • heavy duty chew

    By on

This is good for heavy chewers, however, my puppy seems to get the treat out pretty quickly and what he doesn't falls inside. The 'x' on side and bottom are pretty tight so any big pieces that fall inside can't fall out. This frustrates my puppy so after awhile of him working on it I step on it to crush the big pieces so they come out a little easier. He tends to give up on the piece if he can't get to the treats inside after awhile.

  • Not for big dogs who like to chew

    By on

I bought the large size for big dogs, but my doberman ripped off chunks (of the neck) of this toy within 5 minutes of getting it. Since my dog didn't destroy the toy, I'll try to find someone with a smaller dog who doesn't chew and gnaw so much because I think it's a good toy. It's too bad because other Kong toys have been indestructible. Unfortunately, this isn't one of them.

  • Not for power chewers

    By on

Kong makes a great product for most dogs. We have two Belgian Malinois, also known the ultimate power chewers. One of our girls had the neck of this chewed off in less than 24 hours. I'm sure this is a great product for most dogs, just not ours.

  • Great chew toy

Great chew toys for older dogs and puppies. I have 4 yr old black lab and 3 month old black old. Hide treats and they have fun chewing.

  • Lasted 1 Day

    By on

I frequently buy Kong products, but this was my first time purchasing from this website. My 50 lb German shepherd is not a chewer and has had all of his Kong toys since I first bought them. I purchased this Genius Leo, as well as the Michelangelo for Christmas and both of them broke. The triangle pieces literally broke right off when he licked to get the treats out... The rubber doesn't seem to be as strong as Kongs I've purchased in the past from other retailers. Maybe the prices here are better if they are getting the lower quality batches? I was disappointed to say the least.
