Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off. Power Chewers may need to size up one or two sizes and/or use the KONG Extreme line.

My doggy is 11 lbs and I bought a Medium Kong Rubber Bone Rope toy but it was huge. I will give it to a friend's Lab.
Within 30 minutes, my dog (6 month old Golden Retriever), took the knot out of one side of the bone and the rope started to fray. The bone itself is awesome, but the rope is not strong enough for larger dogs.
I'm so disappointed with this. I don't know if Kong is getting cheap or what, but this didn't even last five minutes with my puppy. The rope was severed on each end first, then he started taking chunks out of the bone. I had to throw it out before I even got the other items out of the delivery box. Do not recommend. It's a choking hazard.
It is a good toy but if your dog is a chewier you might be replacing more often than you anticipate. We primarily use this toy for fetch/tug time and our dog has frayed the ropes a lot more than some similar toys.
Our mini long haired Dachshund puppy really enjoys teething on this toy.
Annie liked it but we thought there was a place for food too in the bone....so disappointment as does not hold her attention!
I got this thing months ago. I inspected it like I do all toys for my pups. I noticed the knots were a little loose. 3 seconds later the knots were retied and haven't had a single issue since. My pup likes to lock on to the rubber bone and he won't let go until he's ready. Great way to do curls. I'm ordering another just to make sure I have one on hand if he does break it up.
This toy will be good for a medium to slightly bigger dog. It’s not as long as it looks. It’s very short!! My bulldog will probably break this easily cause he is strong. Hopefully it’s sturdy since it’s long brand. Just very short..
My 11 week old puppy loves this toy. She carries it around, shakes it out and especially lugs chewing on and tugging on the rope.
My dog pulls pretty hard. He's 76 lbs of pure muscle. The few times we've played with this toy it's been rough on my wrist because the bone gives him the ability to twist the rope and yank. That being said, he hasn't chewed it to bits yet... which is impressive. It's not his favorite tug toy but he does like that he can get a good grip on it. I'd recommend it for anyone with strong wrists or dogs under 40lbs.
