My dog, who is not an aggressive chewer got through this in 5 minutes. I was hoping it would take her a little longer to get me through my meeting!
I gave my 6 month old puppy a Marathon treat today, it was his first experience with a Kong as well. Wally is a rather aggressive chewer and can destroy a good-sized bully stick in minutes, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I am impressed! The Marathon "plug" held his attention for well over an hour and despite many licks and nibbles, it's still 90% intact. He is obsessed and even brought his Kong (treat intact) with him to his water bowl so he could keep an eye on it. I've already ordered more!
Bought to help my puppy teething but he hates them was waste
Bought these for my puppy with high hopes that it would keep her busy a little longer than other treats and toys.... unfortunately, this didn’t last longer than 3 minutes in the intended Kong toy. Thinking I had put it in wrong, I snagged it from the pup and tried putting it back in.... dropped to the group after I turned the toy upside down..
I really like this product! I give it to my dog to keep him busy for a while when he gets put in his crate. Though, if you have a super chewer like mine, it doesn't last as long as I'd like. But it gets him through those vital first 5 minutes.
This treat is genius! I have a Cane Corso that can destroy things in 2.5 seconds! Lol This is a great solution to slow him down a bit! It fits perfectly in the classic Kong & gives him more of a puzzle to get the treats out from inside the Kong! I hope they make an XL soon!
For the price, the Marathon Treats are too easy for my 50-pound dog. It took less than 15 minutes for her to consume it, including the part that was supposed to stick in the Kong toy and be a challenge to her. I could give her a large Milk Bone for 10 cents, and she would get just as much mental stimulation out of it.
After 8 years of passing up Kong, I decided to try it for my 90 lb big boy. Not only did he chew through in no time, the pieces left inside are convenient for bacteria. Trying to get them out is a chore. Kong should be sold with needle-nose pliers. Won’t buy again.
My 90 pound lab loved this a little too much. It last about 10 to 20 minutes tops for him to eat the whole thing. Would work great for a less agressive chewer.
My 10 month old golden retriever easily went through this thing in 5 minutes. I was hoping these would tie him over for a little while, but he quickly finished it off with little effort. It’s a good idea, but doesn’t work.
