I decided to order this because my cat was destroying a wall in my house. She had claimed a corner of a wall and had actually ripped the paint off with her nails. When i opened this i put a pinch of catnip on it and my cat took to it IMMEDIATELY! She no longer goes to the wall at all or anything else for that matter! I would definitely reccomend and i will be ordering refills in the future. It does shed a bit when she scratches but i don't mind at all. I would rather clean up cardboard than pieces of wall.
My stepdaughter's cat loves it

I am not giving this a 5 because I bought it for my cat so I can't personally answer. But my cat won't use any scratcher. We got him when he was to to young. So at first we didn't have scratchers. Well time went by so quick he has his spots where he scratches n that's it. I've got different kinds n this has made me realize quit buying these. Lol. So I gave it to my stepdaughter and their cat loves it.
Not sure what the difference is...

My cats love their old Kong incline cat scratcher, which I’ve had for over two years. It’s getting pretty battered, so I thought I’d get them a new one. Well, they want nothing to do with the new one. It’s been sitting for a week in the place where the old one was, but has not a single scratch mark on it. Meanwhile, they followed the old one up to where I set it by the laundry hamper, and keep gouging out that nasty old cardboard.
I’m not sure if the catnip that came with the new one is stale, if it’s because the cardboard in the new one is a tiny bit narrower, or if there’s a new manufacturing process that makes it feel and/or smell funny, but my two girls are in agreement - it just My cats love their old Kong incline cat scratcher, which I’ve had for over two years. I’m afraid we won’t be buying this product again.… more
Gigi Loves It

My 8yr old cat loves this cardboard scratcher. Keeps her from putting her claws on furniture in house. We would give her a cardboard box to use, but box gets ugly after awhile. This is so neat on back porch. You can set it up slightly inclined so she leans on it. I put a scatter of catnip on and she goes to town. After two days I have to vacuum scatters of cardboard pieces but thats ok for her enjoyment. Then she jumps on her cat tree and looks out window at the squirrels and birds in our backyard.
Wouldn't use the incline
on Feb 15, 2019
Buddy just doesn't like change I guess. I ordered the incline and two refills. He wouldn't have anything to do with it. I rubbed catnip on it and placed his paws on it...still didn't work. The old scratch pad (a smaller one) was totally worn out so I threw the incline part away and took out the pad...put more catnip on it, and he finally uses it. It is not in a cardboard container, so the pieces get on the floor, which is a mess.
Cats loved it

Although the box arrived ripped at all 4 corners, once I taped them with masking tape, it all held together nicely. The package came with catnip, so that have me the idea of sprinkling it over the corrugated floutes. The cats scratched, sniffed, rubbed and rolled it. Loads of fun for both of us.
They love it.

Both my babies love this. After 2 days of being scratched and pushed around the room, it's still together. The cardboard sides are still intact which is amazing. Usually I have to tape the sides back together because my big male thinks the first thing to do is get the cardboard scratcher out of the box.
Piece of Junk
on Feb 1, 2019
This arrived today and I set it up for my cat, noticing that it was not made very well, pieces of cardboard not attached to each other and no support under the upper part of the incline. When my cat, who is an average size, even on the slim side, tried to scratch it split in two, making the whole idea of an incline impossible. So I removed the scratcher because it will fit the flat scratcher box of another company and put the rest in the trash. The whole episode took about 5 minutes from out of Chewy's delivery box to the trash can outside.

Was searching for something different. Cats like to rub up against box corners and other things. Then seen the reviews for this product and thought would send to my son for his cats. He said they really enjoy it. I really like to see other things for cats, but have yet to find. Thinking about ordering for my own cat.
So-so cat scratcher
on Jan 20, 2019
This is a nicely constructed cardboard cat scratcher. The holes on the side are too small for our cat's head, so we had to cut them larger so he can attempt to play with the dangling crackly ball toy. The incline is nice and the width is great. The catnip that comes with it is of poor quality and didn't attract our catnip loving cat at all. After lacing it with homegrown nip, our cat will rub his face on the scratcher, but other than a few times of full out digging his claws in, he has pretty much left it alone. I don't believe it's the scratchers fault; he simply just isn't into it.
