Dogs Need to Play
A dog's physical and mental development are influenced by a healthy, instinctual need to play. Built for durability, KONG dog toys encourage play and offer enrichment, meeting this natural need to play.
The KONG Classic is a great next step for a puppy that is ready to graduate. KONG encourages dogs to focus energy on healthy engagement, helping prevent unwanted behavior by providing a mentally stimulating, physical challenge that keeps dogs occupied and mentally challenged.
Did you know that anything that is safe for a dog to eat is safe to stuff into a KONG? Here's how:
Stuff: Stuff loosely for beginners or tighter for more advanced users (w/KONG Snacks or your dog's favorite kibble).
Entice: Use a tasty appetizer such as KONG Easy Treat or peanut butter.
Enrich: A stuffed KONG offers mental and physical enrichment.
Extend: Want to extend playtime? Freeze for a longer-lasting challenge.

Most Durable Rubber

My pups reliably will chew this if I squish cheddar cheese into it. It's great because there are large grooves inside the ends that the cheese gets stuck in so they spend soooo much more time chewing this than the original Kong shape. This is more flexible rubber so it's only for small teeth! My only complaint is the strong rubber smell. Every time she chews, her face smells of rubber. I've tried washing with very hot water and dish soap and it won't go away. I'm afraid it could aggravate her tear staining. However, I don't have to be afraid of her choking on pieces of rawhide or bully so it's probably worth it.
Kong is Always the Choice
on Dec 20, 2017
The first dog that was all mine was a 75-lb Pit. I couldn't find a toy that would last beyond 20 minutes to include those that were guaranteed to be indestructible. Then I found the Kong line of products. I can't imagine the dog that could harm a Kong toy beyond light teeth marks. Now both my current 70-pounder and my 10-pounder get nothing but Kong. For the larger dog pretty much any other choice would be a waste of money. Whether she sticks with her large Kong bone or the baby's small one, I know that the toys will outlast the pet. Easily worth the price!
Kongs FILL a need!
on Mar 10, 2018
We owned another style Kong for a puppy several years ago-it was a hit so tried this one. Hey, as long as it's got food associated with it, they love it! Soft and easy to clean as well so fills that chewing need which at 3 months is a major life function. Oh, and Kong's last for ever! Our original Kong lasted for about 12 yrs and was used daily!
From an English Bulldog perspective
on Jan 27, 2018
I have English Bulldogs. I have not found a toy that lasts indefinitely yet. The best products I have found are some of the Kong products. This bone will last for several weeks to several months. I sometimes stuff some of my homemade pumpkin treats or I squirt a little "squeeze cheese" in them. Eventually, the ends do start getting cracks and rips in them and I have to throw them, but they are still impressive to me. Anything that can be used with my bulldogs for a few weeks or more is an A+ in my books. I have bought several of them over the past couple years as I have 6 dogs and I will continue to buy these!!
Not very sturdy but does the job!

I have a few puzzle toys and treat-dispensing toys. I have two dogs that I give toys filled with peanut butter to when people who aren't comfortable with dogs come over. The small one, Chihuahua mix, loves this and she is able to clean it out very well and she play with the bone without peanut butter in it. The big one, German shepherd mix, loves it too but he's quite clumsy and dopey and his tongue is so big that he can't get all the peanut butter. Then he rips the bone in half and gnaws off one of the nubs. I still use the bone but it's looking sad.

Not very durable
on Feb 7, 2018
Unfortunately, Millie had this destroyed within the first couple of hours. I had hopes it would be durable enough to fill with the treats that fit in it and keep her busy, but she now gets the treats without the bone to keep her occupied. We ended up throwing it away the first day.
Great for a chewing puppy
on Jan 10, 2018
My puppy loves this to chew on! My puppy is a nibbler and loves to nibble, nibble, nibble...always needing something. As soon as she starts to get excited and nibble, I put this in her mouth instead of my fingers or nearby pillows! Now that she's a little older, I put a small treat inside the end and let her work on getting it out. She doesn't love it so much that she chews on it forever, but its perfect for me because I wanted it more as a distraction from chewing fingers and other things.
My adult dog loves the Puppy Kong toys the best
on Jan 8, 2018
My Boston Terrier loves Kong toys, these were my original Kong purchases. He can chew all day on these and they don't fall apart. He doesn't enjoy the adult Kong toys as much as the puppy ones....
Another indestructible toy from Kong!
on Dec 27, 2017
Once again I am very happy with Kong chew toys. This one stands up to many hours of constant chewing and I can see it will stand up to many more. I recommend this one for those heavy chewers.
My dog loves it!

Especially when you put treats in it. Shipping is fast and it is easy shopping. Saves you from going to the pet store. I love chewy.com.
