Dogs Need to Play
A dog's physical and mental development are influenced by a healthy, instinctual need to play. Built for durability, KONG dog toys encourage play and offer enrichment, meeting this natural need to play.
The KONG Classic is a great next step for a puppy that is ready to graduate. KONG encourages dogs to focus energy on healthy engagement, helping prevent unwanted behavior by providing a mentally stimulating, physical challenge that keeps dogs occupied and mentally challenged.
Did you know that anything that is safe for a dog to eat is safe to stuff into a KONG? Here's how:
Stuff: Stuff loosely for beginners or tighter for more advanced users (w/KONG Snacks or your dog's favorite kibble).
Entice: Use a tasty appetizer such as KONG Easy Treat or peanut butter.
Enrich: A stuffed KONG offers mental and physical enrichment.
Extend: Want to extend playtime? Freeze for a longer-lasting challenge.

Slam dunk! My 5 months old puppy (rat terrier) loves this chew toy. I fill it with mini milk bones and my little girl loves this toy! She even picks it up to chew on when there aren't treats inside. And its the only chew toy she has not destroyed in minutes! Thank you Chewy for continuing to have great products
Best Crate Training Idea
on Oct 4, 2017
I thought my vet was genius when she suggested filling the treat holes with peanut butter and freezing the Kong (she also loves canned pumpkin frozen in it, but it makes a bit of a mess)- my pup will run to her crate for it, and the whole world falls away as she licks her way through-- I return to her 1-2 hours later, and she is sleeping and happy in her crate. Until then, the crate had zero appeal for my pup. I keep a supply of four of these frozen peanut butter-stuffed Kong bones in my freezer, so I can run errands throughout the day and keep Pup happy.
Eh.... it's ok

I got this kong toy for my pup, it's ok but the treats get stuck inside of it and makes it harder to get out. I have to stick a skinny tool to get the treats out. He likes playing with it but I don't like that the treat gets stuck inside

Finally something she can't chew up and believe me she tries! This is her favorite toy, we play fetch with it and she will just use it to chew on, versatile!

My lab puppy isn't very interested in the bone. He'll chew on it every now and then, but isn't motivated to get treats (his regular kibble and peanut butter) out of the ends. My puppy has never shown particular interest in working for his food so if your dog enjoys that kind of activity, it might work better. Otherwise, the product has held up.
Durable and strong

I bought this for my daughter's puppy, he is in the chew everything stage! Nothing else lasted very long, so I gave her this and he loves it! I will only buy Kong products when it comes to dogs.

As the new person of a golden retriever puppy, I am thankful for this toy. It makes a great puppy pacifier. I fill the open ends with Kong Treat, peanut butter, or peanut butter and kibble. It keeps her busy mouth busy. Great for a young one, but we will soon be moving to the adult version because she has already, at 10 weeks, gotten strong enough to damage the rubber... keep in mind this is a golden retriever puppy and she is 25 lbs at 10 weeks old.
Toy is not good for my puppy

My puppy is not interesting in this toy, even though I placed the dog food inside the toy. He does not like playing it. so I do not recommend this item.

My dogs love this toy - they can chew it and it's does not fall apart. I understand why it was named KONG.
Smaller than expected

Will be giving it away, the bone is much smaller than expected. Also would love to be able to choose the color.
