Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

I bought this ball only because the Kong Squeez ball had been out of stock for a long time. The day it arrived, I was so pleased. It immediately became my 2.5 year old lab's favorite toy and it is still one of his favorites. I and he actually like it better than the other Kong ball. Unfortunately, while the ball remains intact and functional, within a few weeks, it stopped squeaking when squeezed with his mouth. Instead, just like with the other Kong ball, now it just makes a wimpy air sound.
One would think that the sizes of the ball(s) would be of interest to consumers. However, the ad contains no such specification. The balls of whatever size we received are fair in quality though time will tell. Why sell something without providing its dimensions? Goldilocks entertained us by providing generalizations though we are consumer$. We're not playing kids games and fables.
This is the BEST TOY EVER! We got it for our 80-pound fur baby who loves to chew (American boxer) - its been almost a month now of non-stop chewing and play and this is still going strong. There are a few marks in it and he's got the squeaker so it only squeaks if he chews in exactly the right spot, but it's still fine other than that. Most toys last him about 5 minutes or less. He even chewed the end off a small Kong and has bite marks all through it. The construction is unique, which has made the squeaker live, I would guess.. and he loves the little branch nubs. Though it really frustrates him that he can't get the center insert to come out, no matter how hard he tries! The only con at all is that he absolutely loves making the plastic squeak on his teeth. I'm already looking for more of these great soft(ish) toys for big, aggressive chewers! Kong just needs to make them a little bigger so they don't roll under furniture.
The quality of Kong is poor and inconsistent. What used to be for tough chewers is now non existent. The cost of this brand name is not worth it. This particular product will be good for one heck of a vet bill due to a choking hazard, or a thankful moment that your pet is still alive after the faulty craftsmanship.
Ordered both a medium and large size for my greyhound. The medium is too small- not tennis ball size and might choke on it- the way he tries to squeak it. The large is much better and closer to tennis ball size. He loves it and is now his favorite toy.
I have Akitas and they are big dogs. I tried the larger one but it was a bit too big. My guys love to make their toys squeek. They do not destroy the toy just the squeeker. This is the ONLY one that still squeeks, and believe me that is amazing. If only they would use this ball inside some of the tug toys with balls in the middle then life would be perfect.
Second play session with this ball and the squeaker stopped working. The ball itself has survived many play sessions. I won't buy another one of these simply because my dogs prefer toys that make noise and a sturdy ball that doesn't squeak is available for a lower price.
I just bought 3 more of these. They hold up well even through ice and snow. The red one faded but is still in great shape. Unfortunately we lost the blue one somewhere in our giant yard so I bought 3 more. Our lap pups (100+lbs and 70 lbs) love to play with these every day.
I bought this ball for my Golden Retriever as a treat after his annual vaccines. To my dismay and his, it was smaller than described. He could completely fit it in his mouth! Needless to say, I threw it away avoiding a choking hazard.
Looking for a squeaky ball for training, so criteria is soft enough to depress by hand. This is easy to squeak with finger pressure. Sturdiest of three different types we tried, seems like it will hold up fine in every day use.
