OK so "The Large Training Dummy measures approximately 12 inches long and the X-Large Training Dummy measures approximately 12 ¼ inches long" ... but what are the diameters? Is XL just fatter?

The Large Training Dummy measures approximately 2 inches in diameter by 12 inches long and the X-Large Training Dummy measures approximately 3.25 inches in diameter by 12 ¼ inches long.
I have two labs around 70- 85 pounds, should I get the large or x large for them?

Either size is suitable. It's a good idea to mix sizes and types of retriever dummies so your dog doesn't get used to picking up just one dummy, and possibly not pick up anything else.

Fun bumper, don't allow them to chew on it

I allowed my dog to carry this one around after retrieving - it doesn't withstand modest chewing. It's a super fun bumper that she loved, but if you buy it make them drop it and don't allow them a minute of alone time with it because if they chew it it will break apart.

Yep to this one!

Great in the water! Visible in the snow. Chloe has not been able to tear this one apart but loves to get after it. On our second one after our girl left the last one out in the woods somewhere :)

I usually don't bother with reviews but my dog broke this kong in the time between me giving it to him and the time it took to cut the zipties off the second toy I bought him definitely would not buy this product again

Kong throwing dummy

So far this is the best fetch toy that I have for my dog. I bought several other types and just through use not chewing they would tear them up. This particular song throwing down me has lasted for weeks. I like it so much I bought three more.

Good for training in pool

I love the idea of this toy but wish it was a bit more durable. Even the pressure from my dogs teeth cause it to tear a bit here and there but all said, it's a nice toy to toss in the pool. DO NOT LEAVE ALONE IF DOG IS A CHEWER

Best ever.

My dogs are strictly upland hunters but love the water. All summer we head to the dock for low impact exercise. At first glance, I thought these foam dummies wouldn't last long. Couldn't have been more wrong. My labs are not gentle with them. They are covered in teeth marks but after 3 years, no tears or other damage. They throw far and float high. They have no inflation chambers or valves to fail. Simple and strong = can't go wrong.

great retrieving toy

Excellent! My Lab loves it and so do I. Easier to throw than a stick, floats well, fits in her mouth well, and tolerates a bit of chewing. Likely not for heavy chewers or take it away after play.

Kong Water Toy for Dogs

Kong water toy has been our best purchase. Our Dog is a pit & very rough on water toys while fetching. He loves the Ocean & loves fetching toys once we have thrown them out into the waves. These have endured his chewing, which he enjoys doing when he swims into shore with them. Kong keep up the tough toys!
