KONG Trek Dog Pack

It is fairly easily adjustable & runs true to size. So far it has been used on several multi day hiking trips. I paid $30 for it because it was on sale. It is not worth its regular $55 price tag. So I would suggest a different pack if its full price as you will get a better bag for the money. I docked it a star for two reasons. 1) When the packs are full it is kinda a pain to close. 2) the clip in ring for the leash is plastic and therefore prone to breaking.

I ordered this 2 weeks ago. Only used it 1 week and the bag started falling apart. I went on 2 short hikes with my husky. The pull rope casually untied and the pack started tearing. I did not even fill the pack to capacity. 2 small water bottles and a travel bowl. My husky is trained not to pull so there was no extra strength being put on the pack. I really thought Kong was the toughest pet brand out there. I'm very disappointed.

We have been looking for a pack for our very energetic Boxer. He took to it right away. All the clasps seem strong and the side pouchs are ample.

Its not an everyday wear. Most helpful for further trips through the woods where I can't get to a trashcan or reach for other supplies. It takes a little while to get on my dog as there are two buckles and my pup is not keen on me putting things on his back. The bag is well made. I purchased a large size which runs a little big for my 10 month old doberman and I am expecting him to grow into it. I purchased the bag so my dog could carry his own treats, poop and other accessories on trail walks and hikes in the woods. The first thing I noticed is the bag can feel awkward to the dog if weight is not distributed equally in the side pouches. I ordered this over a year ago and it is still in perfect condition with regular use. I always have this on my dog for walks to give her a job as it helps with some issues she has. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a pack. It is well worth the money. I am so glad this is back in stock, may buy another for friends dogs!

First I want to recognize chewy's customer service. My previous pack was an Outward Bound which tore after several months. Chewy allowed me full credit towards the Kong pack. This is the ONLY pet supply company I will ever use!! The Kong pack is very sturdy and easily holds the 6lbs Of weight I add to it for my Australian Cattlehound/ Frenchie daily walks. I added a metal O ring to the leash attachment only because my Sophie is an escape artist! The Kong pack keeps her in check however. Very satisfied!

Dylan loves to be a helper and use his backpack on long walks or hikes! He is a 75 pound American Staffordshire Terrier and we ordered him the L/XL size which fits perfect! The two pockets on the sides made it easy for us to fit just what Dylan needed for his adventures! The backpack is great quality and is very functional!

I bought this backpack for my 75lb American Bulldog in order to help him gain confidence and behave better on walks. It's hard to fit a large-chested (and big head) dog so I ordered a L/XL, it works well but I feel I could have possibly gone a size smaller. The straps are tightened all the way and I'm pretty sure my dog is done growing but I didn't want to have to return something that was too small. We've used it 5 or 6 times so far, weighing it down with ankle weights in the bags and it seems pretty well made and sturdy.
