Every dog plays differently and, since not all toys are created equal, it’s always best to keep a close watch on your pup in case things get ruff. Supervised play will help toys last longer and most importantly keep your pal safe. No dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off.

My experience with Kong products has always been good so I thought this Wubba Dog Toy would be different from my experience with other dog toys. Wrong! My bloodhound had both of these toys (I bought one for my Vizsla) disassembled, ball split open, and squeaker chewed up in 2 days. The toy is awesome, and I bet normal dogs would get months and months of pleasure out of it. So far, my bloodhound had destroyed every indestructable toy we have tried. She is a perfect dog and all hound; can't yell at her for being who she is.
So.. my Gertie who is an incredible amazing Airedale is rough on toys. She doesn’t destroy them immediately, but they don’t last if they are not well made. She loves what we call squeaka squeaka’s. I mean she loves them. I saw this and I thought yea, she will probably play with that. Gertie knows the Chewy box. When this particular box came, it had mostly grooming supplies so she was not happy. Then I said, “look there’s a new Friend!” She immediately started jumping and spinning when she saw the red toy. I squeaked it and she just lost it. I got it out for her and we played for hours. I can tell her to go get a toy and she will rummage through her basket. If I say go find Friend in moments I will hear the distinctive squeaka squeaka of this Kong toy and here she comes. She loves this toy so much. It has been so fun. To get attention sometimes she will go get Friend and just squeaka squeaka squeaka squeaka This toy would not last 5 minutes with my sons pit bull just to be fair.
I have a Pitbull/Lab mix. She is the cutest when she gets a new toy. She received her new Kong Wubba today. She was so excited. Prancing around with it, throwing it in the air and then it was time to get down with it. Within 1 hour of opening, I see her laying in her bed with her nose on top of the Wubba. She looked depressed. Rightfully so........she had already ripped the fabric and killed the squeaker. What a waste of money!
Our golden retriever Ellie loves chewing on her toys. I ONLY buy toys for heavy chewers, and they usually can last for a few months. I was excited to try this out, and she loved it! Sad that it literally last 10 minutes before breaking. What a disappointment from a Kong toy.
My rottweiler loves cloth toys but manages to destroy them within minutes. She loves this toy and has not torn it up. The thing I like best is that it doesn't have "stuffing" that can be swallowed if they do happen to tear it. The round parts have rubber balls inside them and they squeak which makes it even more fun for my dog. The exterior cloth is very tough and she's had it for a couple months now and it still looks like new. This is her favorite toy.
I received this toy today. My dog, a Labrador retriever, had it for about 10 minutes and ripped through the fabric. I am not exaggerating on time. For something with the Kong name, the durability is very disappointing. Unfortunately I cannot upload a photo because it says it's too large even though it isn't.
My toy breed dogs LOVE the wubbas and they're pretty sturdy for light chewers. However, quality is inconsistent, so I deducted a star because some have frayed very quickly. Once they start fraying, it seems to be an invitation to my dogs to shred further. Otherwise, they love these for playing fetch!
I bought this for my 2 year old cockapoo who is an aggressive chewer. He destroyed it in a few hours! There's a small tennis type ball in the top & he had it out quickly because he chewed through the fabric. I thought it would be good because it was a Kong. Another failure!
We have 2 - 8 month old energetic bulldog pups who managed to decapitate Wubba in less than 2 days. There is nothing left but tentacles and frayed fabric where his body/brain used to be. If your dog is a fairly aggressive chewer, I would pass on this toy.
Product's fabric is very tough; our aggressive chewer has not been able to rip it apart as she can with other toys; she loves the squeaky ball inside which remains safe while she plays with it
