Is this 1 solid piece of memory foam or pieces?
Answer by ChewyJul 11, 2018
This is one solid, 7-inch thick piece of orthopedic memory foam.

Answer by ChewyAug 09, 2020
Both covers are removable and washable.

Is it firm? My dog is arthritic and needs girl support not squishy
Answer by ChewyJun 20, 2020
This bed is soft overall, it has a micro-suede suede lining and orthopedic-grade, hypoallergenic memory foam. It provides complete support for a more restful sleep and helps soothe joint and muscle discomfort for pups with arthritis, hip dysplasia, and other joint conditions.

Is there a weight recommendation for the Large and Extra Large? I am torn between the two for my 90+ lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Answer by ChewyMay 28, 2020
This bed does not have a recommended weight. We recommend measuring your pet to find the perfect bed size. Pets who curl up to sleep can fit on a smaller bed, while pets who stretch out need a larger bed. To determine the ideal bed length, measure your pet in his or her normal sleeping position, then add 4-6” for cats and small dogs, or 8-12” for medium to large dogs. When in doubt, we suggest ordering the bigger size.

Dog Bed Meets Expectations & Much More

This bed is worth every penny and we got it on SALE! It has two covers, the outer one is so soft and washes easily in washer and dryer. The inner liner protects the orthopedic mattress in case of spills or leaks. My dog broke his hip and this bed enables him to rest comfortably and recuperate. I may have to buy another one since my great grandson, who is three, fell in love with this bed as well! There is plenty of room for them both however our dog isn’t sharing right now.

Good enough

A couple of issues with this for me: it is *extremely* firm, and the color is an ice blue versus gray. To be fair, if you look at the product photos, the main pic is either a different bed or the exposure is very light, and I didn't look at the rest of the pics which are a good representation of the actual color (I repeat: blue) This wasn't a deal breaker for me, but the hard surface actually led me to put an old, somewhat flattened bed on top as a sort of cushioning layer. Seems to defeat the purpose of having this bed at all, but since I managed a work around I won't be going through the hassle of returning. Anyone who reads the word "orthopedic" and thinks memory foam like a human mattress, just be warned. This is probably a good solid surface for older dogs who need to get their footing and balance when getting on/off the bed, but from a comfort standpoint, it's not much different than the floor. That's my own two cents, so maybe it helps and good luck in your search.

Awesome Bed!

This is my second purchase of this particular bed. I’ve had one in my room for years and purchased another for a different room in my home. I have two dogs, 100lbs and 85lbs, that both fit comfortably on the XL bed. The best part is that there is no sagging which is great for my almost 11 year old pup and his bad knees. The double-layered lining makes this easy to clean. The price tag is high but it’s absolutely worth it

Substantial heavy bed for 100 Great Pyr

It's a lovely bed and quite large. My two complaints are there is no handle to grab if you have to move the bed and if dog has wet nose it shows on the fabric. It dries but not too appealing.

I wanted to like this but...

My dogs don't like how the waterproof inside cover makes a crinkle sound when they get on it. And once you've opened it and it's expanded from the vacuum packaging I don't see how you can return it.

Awesome bed for pets and kids

This is the most comfortable bed for my 16 YO dog. My grandkids came to visit. I found them sleeping bon the dog bed instead of the cots. We have a second bed for the dog in the bedroom.

Good bed for arthritic dog

I got this bed for my 4 year old dog who has arthritis in her leg. This bed holds up under the weight of her without compressing down. Its very comfortable for her and she seems to love it!

Arrived with stuck zipper

Zipper was half zipped, and stuck. It would go forward or back, checked for material in the zipper, there was none. Will now take 2 weeks to get my money back, as they need to send me a new box since this will not fit in the box it came in (it's vacuum-sealed) and ship back to them. Wanted a bed for my boy for vacation, and now I don't have a bed, or the ability to get another one. Not impressed. If it wasn't $100 I'd keep it and live with a broken bed, but for that kind of money you want something that is actually not broken.

Moose Approved

I literally just unwrapped this bed and laid it on the floor. I turned around to put the plastic in the box, turned back around and see this. It hasn’t even had time to fluff up. Lol. Five stars so far, because he quickly fell in love. Will update at a later date.

Fabulous bed

Bought this bed and my 13 year old mixed breed who absolutley loved it. He was quite tall and almost to big for it. Unfortunately he only used it 2 weeks before he passed away from multiple health issues. Now it belongs to our elderly diabetic cat.
