This bed has held up very well so far. All three dogs we have love it. I’ve laid down on it and find it very comfortable. You get what you pay for, the mattress is thick and firm so it doesn’t totally deflate when a 70 pound dog gets on it. Some people reviewed saying it’s too firm but I think it’s great for bigger, heavier dogs, I’m sick of buying beds that don’t support heavier dogs. Our 10, 9 and 2 year old dogs all take turns on the bed even when they’re allowed on the couch and human bed
Well, my Germaan Shepard just doesnt like the new bed. Its too hard, it makes crunchy sounds when he walks up onto it, theres no cush or coziness to it at all. I guess I just didnt realize orthpaedic meant hard as a rock.
Dog bed was delivered and unpacked. My dog loved it and successfully chewed it to bits within an hour. I’m very disappointed in both my pet and the product. My socks hold up better than the material on the bed.
My dog does not like change, so took her a few days, now she loves it, it is extra thick, and I know it is helping her joints, she is almost 10 yeats old, weighs 63 pounds, and she is very comfortable, best dog bed I have ever bought
I was excited to receive this bed in spite of some of the negative reviews. So I was very disappointed when one of the numerous complaints turned out to be true. I have a gray/silver/charcoal/black master bedroom decor scheme and this “gray” bed clashed terribly because it’s more of an ice blue color than gray. The website color is very misleading. Thankfully I never took it out of the plastic wrap so it never inflated and was able to put it right back in the box. Chewy customer service is great and I almost immediately received return labels. Back it goes. Disappointing.
It's OK but to small for my dog. If he moves he falls off of it and plus it must be hot because he wont stay on it long. The material is noisy also when he climbs on or off of it. It may be better if it fit him.
the reviews were so mixed, I should have listened to the lower ones instead of taking such an expensive risk. The memory foam isn’t memory foam, the bed is either hard as a rock or sunk in with no in-between. Wish I could return it but obviously there’s no chance of getting it back inside its box.
We bought this bed because my 6yr old labrador's old pillow bed needed to be replaced, and he has been having some joint issues lately. Thought this would be a great bed for him. The bed is large enough for him to sprawl out on it, and appears to be of good quality too. He is 100lbs, so we wanted something that would hold his weight and not sink to the floor when he sleeps on it. Well, he wouldn't even get on it until I went on it myself and called him to me. He eventually did lay on it by himself, but very seldom. He would rather lay down on the floor, than use this bed. I just gave it to my friend who has a hound dog to see if her dog would like it. She told me her hound dog wouldn't even get next to it. My friend even tried the same thing I did, by laying down on the bed herself and calling her dog over. My friend said her dog just circled the bed, still wouldn't get on it. I even washed the bed cover before I gave it to her so her dog wouldn't smell my dog on it. I eventually just broke down and bought another pillow bed for my labrador and he loves it! He uses the pillow bed all the time!
I bought this bed years ago for my 68lb amstaff. I chose the XL size because the 7” height was really important to me. I wanted a mattress with a removable and washable cover and mattress cover. There’s a headrest as well which is great for head support. I know it’s expensive but invest in a good mattress for your dog. This mattress is still going strong and has never sunk. At one point my other dog was sleeping on it as well for almost a year (almost around 100lbs between the two of them).
I ordered this bed and then started reading reviews and got worried. I was concerned about the reviews that mentioned the bed not inflating, the inner lining being too crinkly, or the foam being too firm. Well all three counts were false for me! The liner does crinkle and she seemed a bit nervous stepping on it at first, but it didn’t wake me in the night and she has no apprehension now. The bed sprung right up within the hour including the head rest side. If it doesn’t in 24 hours I’d go ahead and call customer service. Lastly, the foam is perfect! I got the XL and it’s ridiculously sized for my 65lb lab/pit mix but whatever she’s 15 years old and deserves all the leg room. It has a nice squish but is very supportive. I put a thick furry blanket on top and she loves it. This morning she was bouncing and prancing on our walk when we ran into another dog. It is a high step up though, so do keep that in mind if your dog doesn’t have slenderman legs like my lady.
