Can this be washed?

This product can be hosed off with a gentle spray and laid out flat to air dry.
Curious about the fabric texture. I think I bought this year's ago. Does this pad sort of resemble the material used for filling cushions and pillows? Is it kind of rough, yielding to holding hair and dander? Thanks for your answer.

Soo comfortable

While I have some fancy beds, and mind you, I do use them as well, these Purr pads are the best when I lay close to my window, snoozing or looking out at the world. It's two of them, so my mom likes them too.

My kitty wouldn’t use her wool cave until I put this pad inside. I think she likes the warmth and texture. Catches a lot of hair also

Ruff and horrible

pads are ruff, scratchy, like kitchen scrubb pads. If I don't like the feel of it I'm sure my cats, or any cat won't like it.

All my cats love these!

This is a very simple pad but it is very appealing to the indoor cats and the three feral kitties. The feral kitties (TNR) will not be lured indoors but I am happy that they are comfortable with some of the shelters and these pads.

Not what I expected, but not disappointed

The other reviews are correct- the material is a bit scratchy and rough to the touch. It is not what I expected to say the least. However, my cats seem to like it. My cats shed like maniacs and even with a few days of occasional use, there is a LOT of fur stuck to it. I would give it five stars if not for the fact the material seems to fall apart if roughed up a little bit. Little stringy bits fall off frequently. Overall, If youre looking for a naturally SOFT cat mat (dont have to put a blanket over it to make it soft), this is not it. But, if youre looking for a cat mat that collects fur and is warm for your fuzzy friend, youre in luck

It's okay - really

Some folks thought this was more like the filling of a bed - it does kind of look like that, yes. Some felt it was super rough, but it's really not THAT bad. If you are expecting super-soft fleece or silky faux fur it is definitely not that. It's got a bit of a "grip" to it to catch hair and things. My guess is some cats will really like that texture and some won't. My cat hates silky fluffy textures (the fake fur) but is ok with this. It won't offer a lot of support but would be nice on top of a sofa or other bed to catch hair.
