Little odd to fit and balance but works well

    By on

Dog had a weekend hike with us where she was wearing this pack, weighed with her treats and water for the both of us. Main point with this pack, I think, is that it MUST be balanced on both sides, or else no matter what you do it's going to be lopsided on the dog. It took a little while to figure it out as we tried adjusting the straps, and saw that it was really a weight problem. This bag is fairly high capacity- you can fit 3 Poland spring water bottles on each side, plus a little more stuff if it's malleable. Otherwise, it held up great to the trip. She was on a fairly rough hike with us and so far no tears to the bag. Buckles and straps also were pretty secure.

    Design Improvements

    By on

Really happy with the two-tone blue color for my black dog. Functionally it works, but I think it could be improved with some small tweaks. My dog is 30 lbs and small around the chest, unfortunately the front at the tightest is not quite tight enough to keep the backpack from sliding around. I actually altered the length of the front straps myself by sewing them. I think the front over-the-head function is kind of lame as well, I would like a buckle there instead so it could be quickly taken on and off. I like the zippered pockets but I'm not really sure about the side pockets, they are too small to fit treats or anything. It's not me it's you

    By on

Our relationship has sadly come to an end. After five outings, we're parting ways. I've really tried everything from lightening the load, precisely weighing what I'm putting into each side satchel, adjusting the straps-- but all attempts have been futile. No matter what I do, the pack always falls to the right side. Props to whomever can make this difficult pack work.

    Takes some getting used to

    By on

Be sure to balance the sides with weight and I actually put it on my American Bulldog empty for a couple trips to the park and now have added some stuff that he needs like his water bottle and treats. I love this backpack and it really is nice to put things in the pockets and keep my hands free.

    Great Backpack

    By on

My husky and I have used many backpacks over the years as she has grown and this one is by far my favorite. It's nice a sturdy and plenty of room to hold whatever we need.

    A bit fussy but sturdy

    By on

The straps can be a bit fussy to get adjusted, but once they're fit it's a great harness for our more moderate hikes. Ridiculously adjustable, too. Easily fits both my 45 lb and 65 lb dog. Could even fit larger. Adjusts well for sighthound dogs or any dog with a broad chest. I've also used this as a day pack for my service dog when we were waiting on a new vest. Kurgo never disappoints.

Dog loves it and I do too

    By on

Both Des and I have enjoyed using the pack since we got it. There's plenty of room in the pockets and after a little adjusting it sits easily on his back.

    Great pack.

    By on

Used it for the first time on an overnight trip. Held water and food bowels, 30 ft. lead, and food with room to spare. Works really well if the load is properly balanced between the two sides. Once tightened the straps held it tight to my large chested but thin waisted GSD.
