Your doggo can enjoy a safer car ride with the Kurgo Buckle Barrier and you can drive distraction-free knowing he’s secure. The buckle barrier is a stiff but flexible cover designed to fit over the seatbelt buckle to prevent your dog from accidentally pressing the release button—ideal for the pup who has a tendency to roam around in a moving vehicle.

After trying many "do it yourself" methods (all failed !). I came upon this. I have had no problems with him chewing the barrier. It fits perfectly in my 18 Forester. Some people mentioned trouble getting it the belt unhooked - haven't had any trouble because I just always leave it attached. It is a wonder!
Really glad to get this buckle barrier. My dog gets pretty anxious while riding in the car, and moves around a lot on the seat. On a recent highway trip before we received the barrier, he stepped on the buckle release and was loose in the car. I had to stop on the side to get him secured again. The buckle barrier has prevented that from happening again, making the ride much safer for both of us.
Definitely needed for my dog. He unfastened the belt with his paws. This cover does it's job!! Love it.
This works great! Our pups are always stepping on the seatbelt release button and I’m afraid they are going to dart out of the car when we open the doors to get them. This thing really works! No more worries!
The little velcro provided doesn’t stay stuck together. My 70+ lb dog stepped on it and it came off.
I have two of these yellow Kurgo buckle barriers and am getting a third. Yes, the little velcro stickers DO come off, as other reviewers mention, but this STILL works as a barrier to prevent our active, 65+ lb. dog from accidentally (?) stepping on the seat belt release button. In one car, we added a heavy-duty seat cover which has a zippered opening for the Kurgo tether to snake out; there, the little yellow box is completely out of reach. That makes it just about a perfect solution. Far better than any homemade approaches we thought of.
I had purchased a seat belt for my dog and I wanted this to provide a little extra security. He's a wiggly dog and I was worried he'd release himself. This does the trick and gives me peace of mind.
I found this easy to put on and it works. I can now drive with peace of mind knowing my dog is not going to get loose or jump out of the car.
The little Velcro attachment came off immediately, and the buckle barrier comes up of the buckle easily. If it says in place it works great, now I just need to figure out how to make it do that.
Our dog learned how to step on the seatbelt button and disconnect herself, leaving her unsafe. This was an inexpensive solution and works great. No difficult installation. Our Dalmatian is smart but hasn't figured this one out!
