Your doggo can enjoy a safer car ride with the Kurgo Buckle Barrier and you can drive distraction-free knowing he’s secure. The buckle barrier is a stiff but flexible cover designed to fit over the seatbelt buckle to prevent your dog from accidentally pressing the release button—ideal for the pup who has a tendency to roam around in a moving vehicle.
By providing cover for your car’s seatbelt buckle, this barrier reduces the chances of your dog unbuckling himself—making your car a safer place for your pup.
Universal fit—no need to worry about your car’s make or model.
Made from stiff but flexible material.
Easy to install, this buckle barrier requires no special tools and can be released by placing thumb or screwdriver through the small opening.
My puppy had inadvertently unbuckled her tether in our backseat. When I saw this I thought I would give it a try. Put it in, very easy to install. Now the button to unbuckle is not accessible for her to unbuckle.
Great product, in theory

This product did exactly what it was supposed to do, kept this crazy 70lb lab puppy from unbuckling his seat belt and getting in my lap in the driver's seat at 65mph. I did not take in to consideration his affection for chewing. Lol. Just as I was riding easy, he was unbuckled and in the front seat, with most of the buckle barrier in his mouth. Sigh...finally got a clue and tethered his harness to the child seat mount bracket. He can't move around as much but can lie down and can't come unbuckled. Too smart for his own good...

My hyper dog paces back and forth and will always unbuckle her and her sister but this stops that from happening
It’s good, it works.

It’s not quite a life changing product, but it does keep my dog from unbuckling himself. The only “bad” things about it is that’s it’s quite difficult to unbuckle the seatbelt when you want to. I’d say I have pretty small hands/ fingers and I struggled a little at first to fit my finger into the little hole and press down on the button to release the seatbelt. I have gotten use to it though and I can now do it fairly easily, but if you have fatter fingers you may need to use something similar size to a pen to unbuckle the seatbelt. Also the Velcro it comes with isn’t quite strong enough, but it can be easily fixed by either not using the Velcro or buying Velcro strips.

This product is fantastic. My dog is a 40lb lab mix and is ALL over my back seat when I'm driving. I bought this to keep her from unbucking so she doesnt jump out the window. Like other reviewers have said the little velcro dot will come off if you need to remove it but it can easily be fixed with gorilla glue or just buying another dot. To me it's worth it, it wasnt expensive and keeps my girl safe in the car. Would buy again!!!

not worth it

Did not stay on my buckle at all. My dog tried to get in my front seat and it pulled right off. I got it so she drops unbuckling herself and I can have her head out the window like she loves, but this didn’t solve that problem one bit.
Don't waste your money!

These were a total waste of money! They fit fine, however the little velcro dots are not enough to hold them in place so they ride up and unhook anyway. Good idea, if they worked. They should have a negative star rating.
Works as advertised

Our 83-lb Great Pyrenees has done great with the car restraint, but she does tend to step on the buckle release to free herself. This has completely taken care of the issue!
