Double Leash Double Pull Power
Connected side by side lets dogs pull together and also seems to double the possibility of getting spooked by something. Definitely wouldn't recommend if owner/walker isn't strong and fit (or equipped with bionic arm.) Leash itself is well-made and sturdy. Likely to withstand the strain better than your arm will. Maybe better for smaller breeds, or a pair quite familiar with one another.
Not for us
I dont know what were doing wrong, maybe its the pace of the dogs, but the smaller of the 2 dogs had her harness come off twice using this. I didnt even think her harness could come off, I even tightened it after the 1st time, but it still came off. The quality of the item is good, but for me its a safety issue.
Misleading length
All of the Kurgo product descriptions list this at extending up to 25 inches but printed on their packaging is 19 inches
Too Big for Chihuahuas
This always pops up for x-small and small breed dogs. I purchased this and ended up giving it to my sister. This would have weighed down my dogs necks. So for bigger dogs, this was very nice and heavy duty I felt.
Convenient and Well-Designed
Kurgo Double Dog (dare you to have two dogs!) Leash Extender is called 'The Doublenator' at our house. When walkies have to be quick...maybe a storm coming, or just for fun, this double-dog-walker leash comes in so handy! Our mutts (mixed breeds, pah-dun me) are best buddies and love running together. My dog walker (teen son) likes to keep them moving when he jogs. This leash keeps everyone 'together' in stride and purpose. The adjustable lengths for each hook-up are a super feature. Great product!

Two-for-One
I have two Aussie's. One is fully grown and trained to walk on the leash while the other is still a puppy and learning the hang of things. Before purchasing the lease extender/splitter, we were using two separate leashes and they would constantly get tangled up with each other. My dogs are different sizes and I was worried about them not being compatible but since the splitter is adjustable on either side, the dogs can both walk comfortably and our puppy is learning how to walk on the leash better than before. Would definitely recommend if you have two pups! :)
Great for bigger dogs!
This is a very good product but not for my small dogs as the clips that attach to the collar are extremely heavy.
Versatile!
I purchased this leash extender so I could have 2 point connection on my dog's harness. One extension clipped to the front of her harness while the 2nd extension clipped to the back of her harness. This gives me so much more control of my pulling pup and allows me to guide her instead of her pulling me in any direction. An added bonus is all the reflective material on this product!
Lifesaver!
Makes walking my two large Goldens a pleasure! They are all smiles when they get on this leash splitter/extender. So much less chaotic than walking them on two separate leashes. We use it almost every day and it’s held up nicely.
