Thin & warm
Was looking for outdoor coats for my boyos, and came across these on sale. I’m in love with them. They are super thin with the quilting, but when I take them off my pups, the jackets are still warm. Fit is great, and adjustable velcro belly straps are awesome to keep the peepee on the plants and not on the jacket. Also, here in NC this time of year, all the grass is dead and dying, so rolling in the grass usually means the pups carry a whole lawn’s worth of grass into the house after walks. The grass does not stick to this jacket. Win win win!
Easy to put on, snazzy pattern and works great with the Kurgo K9 Core Sweater!
My Basenji has a Kurgo K9 Core sweater that works great for her, and I wanted to get this to layer on top as the weather gets cooler3. The velcro straps make it easy to adjust, so it works perfectly with the sweater! Works great on its own too, and my pup seems very comfy in it. The leash attachment port for harnesses is nice and roomy to accommodate different styles of harness, with a zipper to keep the cold out. I love how easy it is to put on, no need to pull legs through holes. The only thing I'd note is that the big Velcro patches used to secure the jacket can be pretty loud when pulled apart (especially on the medium size I use for my Heeler), so if your dog is sensitive to certain noises it could be uncomfortable for them.

Sizing inaccurate
My 12 year old pom wears Medium in everything but in this jacket MEDIUM was HUGE ( like an XL) on her , so i ordered an XS instead and it was TOO small ( to fit a 5 lbs dog) . Bummer because its a nice jacket and seems to go on very easy

Runs large
Based on measurements and weights of the dogs, a size small should have been fine. Even though both of my dogs weigh about 12 pounds, I should have purchased the extra small size.

Perfect for harness
Zipper up top makes it easy to put over harness underneath so leash can be attached when zipper is opened.
Perfect for large dogs!
It's often hard to find coats, especially for my broad- chested bully. These are perfect and easy to put on/take off.
Seems good, doesnt fit my dog
Seems well made but doesn’t fit my Irish terrier. Perhaps bot the bed for large chested dogs.

Velcro is disappointing
After seeing the issues with the velcro, I wound up buying the Wilderdog fleece jacket for around the same price, and we love it!
Kurgo products are normally brilliantly designed, so all this was especially disappointing:
1. The velcro is VERY loud. If your dog is OK with loud sounds in front of their face, this might work for you.
2. When reversed to the non-pattern side, the velcro rubs against the dog's skin/fur on their chest/belly- Ouch!!
3. When worn normally (pattern side out), the velcro patch is exposed on the belly, so it will collect all kinds of grasses, mulch, leaves, and mystery stuff on your adventures.
That said, the coat fabric feels lightweight and I could tell that it would be warm after a few minutes (just like a lightweight down jacket for humans: the insulation is great after you wear it for a minute or two).
Love that it’s reversible!
Our dog’s measurements are a bit unusual (neck 14, chest 24, back 24”, weighs about 30lb), making finding clothes for her tricky. The fact that this vest has an adjustable chest opening helps, but it’s still a bit too big at a medium. Love the colors and the adjustable zipper at the back, which accommodates a collar or harness leash attachment. We use it to help her keep warm on ski and camping days at the mountain!
Pretty good, size different is pretty big
We have purchased two of these. One for our pointer (MD) and one for our lab/pit mix (sm). Our lab mix has a slightly smaller chest than the pointer so we opted for the small ad the MD looked like she was wearing a bubble. The small was a little smaller than expected length wise. The neck on the sm I think could be a little wider too. The chest seems to be alright but she looks a little odd with the length. Overall it's taken some time for them to get used to the swoosh sound when they walk but they don't fuss or rub with this on like they did with fleece or cotton.
